Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Petrified Wood Slabs

Currently, the only survival way to obtain the Petrified Oak Slab is to have crafted it when it was first introduced before it was changed to function like it currently does (when it acted like stone slabs). I propose a new furnace recipe where smelting an Oak Slab produces a Petrified Oak Slab as well as the introduction of all other wood variants with Petrified versions created in the same way.

(note: this provides a fireproof way to build with wood in the nether without having fire tick off for those who want the fullest of survival experiences)

    There are new fireproof wood types in the nether in 1.16.

    I think petrified wood should be only slightly less flamable as to not clash with the nether woods but they should generate in old structures and be more blast resistant than normal wood. They would look dried up and should be created in the blast furnace.

    me and my friend have a multiplayer server and she placed some oak slabs and i can only mine them with a pickaxe?? how did she get them to petrify
