THIS WOULD BE SO HELPFUL!!!!!! Whenever I take my dogs out, half of the time I come back with only me. If we had this, we could take our dogs out fighting! (They are always sitting, so they'd love that update.) Me and my dogs vote for.... DOG ARMOR!!!

I agree! Maybe these armors could be enchantable for extra protection!

I think it's a great idea, and it would be great because my dogs always die.
hehe, this would help me a lot.

Armor doesn't have to be heavy duty. Maybe just leather-tier. What I think dogs really need is smarter A.I.

I like the idea a lot but I think that wolf armor should be a super rare treasure item instead of having a crafting recipe. My reasoning to this is that if it had a recipe it would be very easy to get and exploit this item that will greatly protect wolves, and they may become more of a weapon then our beloved pets. If it was so easy to get or find wolf armor, then people are going to stop caring about them as pets but just have them as a risk-free army that does all the fighting for them. Because of this it should be at least rarer than horse armor because it’s not like you are going to tame a thousand wolves and treat every single one as your beloved pet, you are going to really only have a few if you care about them as your pet and campaign.

Horses have armor, Villagers can wear armor, and even Foxes (On Bedrock) can wear armor and even have swords. Why cant our wolves at least have leather armor to deck them out further for combat? We could even dye the armor to further customize them (They have a UI similar to Horse inventory but for armor only). Would be nice if they all displayed enchant glint too on their armors.

Would care more about my pet wolves if they could last longer than a few days due to constant combat and them having weak defenses. I want to be attached to my pets in-game but it is hard to when they can die so easily.

It could maybe be crafted with 2 pairs of leggings, 2 diamonds, and 1 helmet?
