Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Glass slabs

It would be cool if you added glass slabs. if you've built a roof with slabs and you would like a bit of the ceiling to be glass, a glass slab could come in handy

    I was just creating a build and stopped because that is exactly what I need right now - glass slabs! Not only for great greenhouse roofing but also railings too - the glass slab would make great tops for a glass railing! Hope they add all the glass building blocks that other blocks have - stairs, walls, slabs, doors, pressure plates, and add the option to remove the streaks!!

    Glass slabs would also make for nice floor-lighting in spawn proof bottom slab floors. Just put a light source one block down and a glass slab level with the floor. Crafting recipe: three glass blocks in a row. total number of variations 34 (clear and all 16 colors bottom and top). Please please please Mojang... Add this!

    I also support this! I honestly don't know why we haven't seen this added into Minecraft yet. We have slab variants of many of the newer blocks and glass hasn't had a variant update for quite some time. We need to take it a step further though. On top of the glass slabs, I was also thinking glass stairs so that we can combine them all to make better glass roofs etc.

    Yes please! I’ve just logged in to this feedback site for a first time to upvote this and i think this would be really useful thing in a game. I often use wooden slabs as a floor because mob can’t spawn on them and there are many cases when i’d like to mix them with glass slabs to create floor aquarium.

    I also just logged in for the first time to upvote this. It would be meaningfully different from adding slab variant for some other type of block (because of transparency), but presumably still fairly easy to add.

    When putting a glass floor in the water the water blocks underneath get a murky blue color. If we had glass slabs we could water log them and be able to see through the water more clearly.

    I just though of that and was about to suggest it, it would be super cool to have glass slabs so you can make a glass ceiling without using the full glass block and also make a glass floor without the full one and make it much prettier. I really hope they decide to make this and put it into the game.

    This is a block that I have seen being requested a number of times in youtuber videos. Just hoping that a large youtuber starts requesting this. hopefully we don't have to to to the extent that we did to get nether brick half slabs. Where Generik b literally put the devs on the spot during a minecon Mindcrack pannel. They say they won't add anything w/o a use, But glass slabs has tons of uses and the user base that wants them. Ceilings / floors / bridges E.T.C. these could add to almost any build.

    Yes please! Just as glass panes are ideal for integration into most traditional-styled buildings (1-meter-thick glass walls often look comical and excessive), glass slabs would really make skylights and floors fit better in most constructions. Often, I put in slab ceilings with upturned stairs for borders; if I could put in sections of transparent ceilings/flooring in multistory buildings, it would allows for some awesome visuals!

    Strong yes!

    Lots more possibilities for both builders and redstoners, I don't think anyone would have a problem with glass slabs. Ok, maybe the devs might lol...

    Horizontal Glass Panes would be neat as well.

    Would probably be better to have a button to toggle the position rather than a flipped variant.

    I think that all Glass Blocks needs a Glass slab and a Glass Stair, so you can better build Glassshouses
