Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

I totally agree ! Wood walls would be such a great addition, giving more possibilities to building !

It doesn't seem like it would be too hard to create, seeing as it would mostly use textures already made for the wall faces. And it would give so, so many options for creating depth in builds.

Obviously, the main issue would be that the crafting recipe for wood walls would currently need to be different from creating other types of walls, seeing as that the 2x3 wood plank recipe currently crafts a trapdoor.

    Possible solutions:

    • Option 1: To make wood walls uniform with other types of walls, the crafting ingredient for trapdoors could be changed from wood planks to wood slabs. This would make trapdoors a slightly less resource-heavy recipe (which everyone would love, seeing as many decorative builds involve a ton of trapdoors), and it would free up the former trapdoor recipe to make wood walls.
    • Option 2: Alternatively, if you don't want to change a pre-existing recipe, you could create a new recipe for wood walls using wood slabs in a 2x3 pattern instead of wood planks. That could potentially be confusing, being different from other wall recipes, but it is another option if changing trapdoor recipes would be too much hassle.
    • Option 3: Use a similar crafting recipe as making slabs, but with the wood planks placed vertically. Again, weird to not have all the walls have the same recipe, but I just want wood walls!
