When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

I would very much like this parity between Bedrock and Java edition. It could be very nice to have a music loop while in your Minecraft base.

I think that dispensers should be able tu funnel the discs in.

This feature doesn't seem like it would be a nightmare to implement and would be such a beautiful addition to creating immersion within a build or just to enjoy the music with zero effort through a redstone circuit to loop it, it's in bedrock please bring it to java too.

I've been wanting a way to loop jukeboxes in Java edition for a while now so this would be really nice to have

This is already in bedrock, This was posted in 2018, How come this isn't in java? C418 and Lena Raine's music is really good and having it on loop/shufflable would be epic! You can do a lot more with this! If you have a music disc texture pack, you can edit a sound file and make an alarm system without mods!

This WAS in bedrock edition. It's been changed and the disc no longer ejects after playing without player interaction. On bedrock, I had developed a real auto playing "jukebox" with skip function, playlists, and "now playing" indicator lamps. It was awesome. WAS. it's now a super fancy version of what you have in one jukebox block. What a waste. My suggestion? Give the jukebox a proper interface (like a furnace). Up to 3 discs may be input, after playing, disc moves to output slot and ejects itself. If a hopper or a hopper minecart is under the jukebox, the output slot is immediately emptied. You know, like a furnace. Basically reuse the furnace code. Instead of fire animation on a furnace, it's playing music. you know, if it had to "burn fuel" to play a song, you know, like a furnace, it becomes a "flex" and something advanced players will appreciate. A furnace produces a redstone signal but does not block it's own output. Jukeboxes that cannot play more than one disc without changing the disc physically are NOT jukeboxes. They are single use disc players. Fix this please. It's been years without the love these discs deserve.

They won't add it to Java because it allready exists in Bedrock. They want us to buy multiple versions for minor things to get more money.

Yes. Or dispensers. Or any other method. I don't care. This has so many votes. Why hasn't Minecraft done anything!

I think the first part can be done with a dropper facing into the jukebox.

This! I was going to suggest something that involved toggling it where it would loop automatically but this works great too!

I think hoppers should be able to put discs in and take them out at any time unless the hopper underneath is locked. So, you could build a machine that would automatically loop them using a comparater locking the underneath hopper untill the song ends. If you did it that way, the machine could have a skip button.

Agreed. Would it be appropriate to tag this (Bedrock Parity)?

Just make it so that a hopper will put a music disc in a jukebox, which will then stop giving out a redstone signal, letting a second hopper take out the disc. Just ctrl + c, ctrl + v the code from bedrock edition.

Absolutely! Players are too lazy to change a disc every 3 minute. This is the reason why they are rarely played in the game at all. With the oppurtunity to sound them automatically everyone would always keep them playing cause these are really great tracks

Clearly, this is a parity issue.

In the Java Edition it is unfortunately not possible to fill or empty the jukebox with hoppers and droppers. This would be useful for sorting systems, allay breeding, and automated music systems. You could also adapt Java to Bedrock here. It fits into the 1.20 update because the chiseled bookshelf also has this function.

After YEARS of patience from the fanbase and literally no reason not to address it, Mojang has finally announced that they are thinking about asking an intern to look into putting this to a fan vote for version 1.28 (Caves and Cliffs Part 5: Chapter 2), IF they happen to remember and manage to not wear themselves out after another busy quarter of outsourcing licensed resource packs for premium currency. No word on Custom Worlds yet.
