A More Realistic Desert

One thing that has always bothered me is how water generates in deserts just like in any normal biome. The desert should be a dry and desolate place, not one with rivers and ponds. I think that removing all water (accept from villager farms and desert wells) from the desert would create a slightly harder challenge for the player and just give the desert a more "dry" kind of feel. Please comment if you have any feedback.

    Im sorry... lakes are found in REAL deserts as well

    I'm not talking about realism, I just think decreasing the gen rate of of water in the desert would make for a more interesting challenge. It would also make the biome more unique.
