One feature which would be nice for the dangerous-hearted would be an apocalypse mode in which all mobs, once triggered will actively seek out the player and work cooperatively to create paths to reach the player. For example, if there was an Enderman in range, it might move blocks to make stairs up a ledge; a creeper might try to blast a hole in the side of someone's house; zombies could just use a mob-mentality (spawning more as necessary) to inundate the player.
Triggering events could be line of sight at night, making too much noise, or simply all mobs within a radius get triggered to attack, and it could also include a chain-effect where triggered mobs trigger other nearby mobs. This game mode, while not for those looking to build works of art, would add a different challenge to the game and provide difficulty in the long-term survival once food and simple base security have been achieved.
