Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Different types of wooden swords

Wooden swords should be different based on the type of wood, such as oak, birch, etc.

    I think this a great idea, especially for the game dynamics, as it adds on to the variations of boats, doors, and fences. They aren’t all the same wood, and swords (and perhaps the other wooden tools) and I don’t see the pain of adding them in.

    It would more likely tickle the map maker’s fancy than would others, but I wait for the day I can make a cool looking “dark oak sword.” It gives a visual incentive for creating wooden tools.
