Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Glowing Plant as Light Source (Land Pickles)

A land-based equivalent of the sea pickles would be fantastic as a light source. These glowing plants would allow players to light up large areas of land to prevent mob spawns, without ruining the natural landscape. It would replace the ugly torch spamming that we see today, and it would fit perfectly into the game since we already have a water-based light source that looks natural - sea pickles. I want land pickles too!

    Maybe it could be some sort of bioluminescent mushroom?
