Magnetism Enchantment

I've come out with a concept for a new enchantment for the chestplate called "magnetism" which allows you to get dropped items from more distance. It would be really useful in many many occasions:
1) If you are building, to avoid blocks from falling down having you to go up and down to collect them.
2) If you are farming. It doesn't matter if you are just farming crops or if you are using a automatic/semi-automatic farm, it would be useful in collecting items.
3) Redstone contraptions. If it is not OP to make it working on armorstands, it could also be used in redstone contraptions designed for collecting items.
4) Even if it didn't work on armorstand, I think this enchantment would surely inspire players' creativity.

    I think there should be a potion, not an enchantment, that does this.  Otherwise, I agree.

    @Bilbo Baggins I thought an enchantment would have more sense just because an armore gives the idea of something that could be potentially magnetic. I really like the idea of the potion, but in that case I might want to change the name.

    I think I like the enchantment idea. Though, one step further could be it works on where you're looking? So let's say max level you could look at a distance and exp would come to you, or an item you left at a distance, or killed something with a bow.

    I'll suggest it as a enchantment but for the gloves (armor hand), althrough it isn't included this could fit perfectly for that.

    1.An Enchantmet to attract an specific type of item.

    2.This enchantment could help you in a very nice way how tou maybe be wondering, when you're using a tool or a mob drops a tool if it is a metal one no matter is an item if it is made of a metallic material you can attract it to you.

    3. This would work on the next way:
    Each level the distance is increased by +3 per level starting with +5 block distance on the level 1.
    When you attract an item it can travel through any type of block, liquid.(this means this item can travel trough lava without getting burned)
    Increase of the speed of +0.4 block/sec per level starting with a speed of +1 block/sec on level 1.
    When you're attracting an item it reduces the durability of it based on the distance -1 durability per 5 blocks of distance.
    For both version you need to point the item wich you want and then on bedrock press the attract button and on java press the attrack button. (Only if you have the gloves and you're not using any weapon, tool, item, block. on your hand)

    I think since it will be really useful it should also come with the downside that mob (and player) projectiles (arrows, tridents, snowballs, wither black and blue skulls, and fireballs) will come to you much faster.

    Was just about to post this same idea. The chestplate has no unique enchantments atm so it would be great to add one and this is the perfect fit. It would be a nice quality of life feature too. I wouldn't necessarily call it magnetism though, as it should work for all dropped items (in a similar way to how XP orbs currently are attracted to you), not just metal (and Minecraft isn't and shouldn't be grounded in any realworld physics)
