Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

gun powder block

you can save room in your inventory by putting iron into blocks. same with diamonds and redstone and emralds and gold and lots of other things so why not gunpowder.

    Because not everything needs or should have a block form?

    If they are a thing, gunpowder blocks should have unique properties rather than simply existing to compact gunpowder.

    No. Gunpowder is a POWDER. Which means it would instantly crumble if put into block form.

    :/ yes but with that, it’s SANDSTONE which has been compressed down from sand for a very long time, with gunpowder, you just can’t replicate that.

    Ok, TheFriendlyPine, I see there's still a misunderstanding. Sand, which also exists within minecraft on it's own despite also being small individual particles, is allowed to be a block.

    Technically, if you would compress gun powder, it would be explode.

    Want you something like that in Minecraft?

    I don't need a exploding crafting table!

    I think mojang should make compressed gun powder and then make it automatically explode when it comes in contact with fire and the blast being bigger than tnt.

    addressing a concern, sand is also a powder of sorts

    this would be cool but

    with a catch

    this block would not explode when lit but instead be incendiary, it will fizz alot and light the more flammable stuff on fire like hay blocks or wool

    besides that this does not seem to work out in any other way
