Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

When the Wither drops the nether star, it is fireproof and never despairs until the player picks it up.  If you fought the Wither and the nether star fell into lava, go get it! It’s still there!

It’s in the Minecraft source code (I have read it) that netherstars do not burn if the Wither drops them.  I don’t know what happened to your netherstar.

Which versions do each of you play?  There's a chance one is on Java and the other on Bedrock and there is different behavior.

I play both.  The source code that makes nether stars not burn is for Java, but I assume that the nether star behaves the same for both.

I play Bedrock and it seems that the fireproof\ lava proof source code for the nether star only happens in Java

I tested this in bedrock, and the netherstar does indeed burn.  Voted.

I strongly agree! I think that if the wither was killed over lava, it should be immune to lava like netherite items, blocks and debris. Also, what about accidentally threw it into lava or put in a garbage disposal that uses lava, make it retrievable. Beacons also should have this because they are made from nether stairs.
