    I'm assuming you mean more than what texture packs allow you to do with it?

    Texture packs already allow for a fair amount of HUD customization. If you want an example, check the Legacy Pack made by @HawfHuman on twitter

    I think the current implementation of how huds work should be more visual then anything using images arranged and having a signal.json file to create or add new ones.

    let it be like:

    place (item) at (y) (x) (z)
    kill (player)
    place (item) at (player)
    force (player) to do (something)
    jail (player)
    tp (player) to (player or (x) (y) (z))
    if (something) happens then
    code lines
    ---------------------------
    go to server (server name)
    go to (end, nether, aether, or overworld)
    say (any text) to (player)
    delete world

    You can use the new HTML UI to create custom HUDs

    So you are supposed to be able to do this with the HTML 5 custom UI. But I will say that I have not found it possible to pass events to the UI. I can get just about everything else to work. But the examples given in the documentation do not work. I'd love to see some working HUD code but I am starting to doubt there is any.
