    It might also be cool if the iron nuggets would be crafted into chains first, then into chainmail - It would make it a little bit more expensive for the sake of balance, while also opening up opportunities for other crafting recipes - Of course, that would be for another post.

    Seeing as the 20w16a snapshot added a craftable chain block, it feels like the perfect moment to upvote this.

    Becauce crafting chainmail with the new chain blocks makes perfect sense

    If there are chain items in Minecraft, then shouldn't we be able to make chain mail armor with chains

    I think iron Nuggets are better than chain blocks because chain blocks are crafted with an iron ingot and two iron nuggets and that is more expensive than iron ingots.

    it has a better margin of error if you accidentally craft and then smelt it
