There should be a Hot Springs Biome added into Minecraft because we need more unique biomes. We have the mesa and ice spikes but a biome that has multiple steaming lakes sounds like something I would want to travel to.
Info: The biome would be covered in a palish orange colored landscape with yellow colored rings surrounding multiple lakes and geysers. Filled in those lakes would be a special type of water called Spring Water and they all have different amounts of temperature raising from 1 to 5. The player can tell what temperature the water is by seeing how much steam is coming from it or by picking it up with a bucket.
Visual Water Appearances:
Temp 1 : Tiny amounts of steam
Temp 2 : Small amounts of steam
Temp 3-4 : Large amounts of steam
Temp 5 : A whole lot of steam!
A reason why a player would want to visit this beautiful land would be to collect its water as it gives regenerative properties (just like irl). The amount of temperature determines the healing rate and if it's too hot to step foot in.
Temp 1: Very slow regeneration (slower than regen 1).
Temp 2: Healing rate increases to that of regen 1.
Temp 3: The healing rate remains the same but also applies an effect that speeds up the time limit on negative potion effects and shortens the time limit on positive ones.
Temp 4: The rate increases to the same rate as Regeneration 2 and has the same potion limiting properties.
Temp 5: No regeneration is applied and you get boiled in the water.
