This is part of my new strategic potion system! Go to my profile to see the rest.
I’ve seen a lot of people want to be able to combine potions in minecraft, but this wouldn’t be realistic as in real life, because you can’t just combine medicine to make some super medicine. So I’ve figured out how to fulfill that wanting without having to add combining potions. And it actually uses the old potion system! And it works like this. On every seed every potion works the same, and is created the same. But on every seed, there’s a new set of unique potions that are made with items from the game that aren’t weapons, tools, armor, blocks, potions, and normal potion ingredients. They would have different effects on every seed and a different name and color. And it could be any of these names. Uninteresting potion, bland potion, clear potion, milky potion, diffuse potion, artless potion, thin potion, flat potion, bulky potion, bungling potion, buttered potion, smooth potion, suave potion, debonair potion, elegant potion, fancy potion, charming potion, dashing potion, refined potion, cordial potion, sparkling potion, potent potion, foul potion, odorless potion, rank potion, harsh potion, acrid potion, gross potion, stinky potion, and the burpy potion. You also can’t tell the effects the potion will have, only a hint from the name to see if it’s mostly positive or negative. An example of all of this is on one seed, a glistering melon and an awkward potion will make a healing potion, and an awkward potion and a jungle sapling will make a dashing potion that’s green and it gives you speed 7. But on another seed a glistering melon and an awkward potion still make an healing potion, but an awkward potion and a jungle sapling will make a stinky potion that’s red and when drank gives you levitation 4, slowness 2, and strength 6. You can even add dragon’s milk or bewitched milk to make it the perfect potion. And if you name a potion you discover, every time you make it, it will have that name. This new system means average players always know how to make normal potions, but advanced brewers could find all the unique potions in there seed (which is a lot because there would be two unique potions for every item in the game that’s not a block, weapon, tool, armor, potions, and potion ingredients because you can add it to an awkward potion or a thick potion). And, that’s the end of all my ideas. The end!!!
