    Hi, can you explain what you're looking for this to do?

    Are these mobs killed within a certain time frame?

    All time?

    This would make monster farms way to op in my opinion bit of it was chance it could be cool. Gets my vote.

    I think this would apply to named mobs permanently and then all other mobs for a certain amount of time, with the more rare mobs staying longer

    Now, this is a good idea, except soulsand contains souls. So maybe they could spawn on a new kind of soul fluid, like liquid soulsand. Then they would be able to crawl out of it. Otherwise, they would be trapped inside of soulsand for all eternity, until broken, then they could be released that way I guess. Ghosts wouldn't be able to be harmed, since they are already dead. They can't attack, so they would just set traps for the player that killed them. Entities cannot be haunted. They way the ghost would haunt the player is by making blocks fall on them, spawning anvils from the air, toggling doors, cutting redstone, and causing barriers to form in front of the player. The barriers would only last for one to three seconds. Depending on the ghost, other things could happen too. For witches, random dangerous potion effects would be applied to the player. For creepers, any TNT nearby would be detonated. For endermen, the player would be teleported one block in any direction, unless that space was taken. When skeletons are killed, no matter where they are, they would fall apart and come back together after a short time. Zombies would come back as zombified zombies, which are just zombies, but more decayed. This applies to all other zombie and skeleton variants.
