Crying Obsidian as a Spawn Point

Bring the Crying Obsidian back. I have been thinking of some ways it could be used, and have found a way that might interest many people. Since the Crying Obsidian was meant to set a spawn point in the world, maybe it can be brought back in some way. Let’s say; you placed down an Crying Obsidian somewhere in the world, and you died, but upon dying, your bed was destroyed. Maybe, instead of spawning at the world spawn, you would spawn at one of the Crying Obsidian block locations. My friend liked the idea, so I thought I would post this publicly. It’s not really a bad idea either, but I can see how it would cause some problems.

    Or... it should be a spawn point and beds should be for sleeping. I play on a private server with my friends and when I visit and it gets dark, I sometimes sleep on their spare beds in their house. I don't want to replace my spawn point to a place that I'm sleeping in temporarily, nor do I want to travel back and sleep in my bed every time.

    Hey, I like this idea, I think it would be cool if you could also have a spawnpoint in the Nether and in the End using crying obsidian, so if you died, you could respawn there instead of in the Overworld again

    you should use the logs found in the netherwart forests instead of blue ice, as intermediate people can obtain ice in a tundra if they live in or near one. you can also fight blazes easily if you use a bow and drink a fire resistance potion. Endermen can also be killed easily with a powerful diamond sword in two hits with powerful enchantments. they should also show its own unique particles when activated (set the spawn point on).

    This block is perfect for a rebirth point in Nether. Was the idea conceived back in 2012? And now there is just a reason to add this block.
