    I like the idea that they could just switch to melee up close instead of just spawning with swords. Though that could be cool too.

    Why only Iron swords btw? They should be able to spawn with gold or diamond too

    Tbh, I hate it when skeletons pick up dropped swords. They just kill us so easily, that being said, I love the idea. Just reminding you that these will be wayyy more dangerous than you think.

    I think having skeletons with swords would be cool. But maybe not just with Iron Swords, like what CloudierAgate05 said, also we could have ZOMBIES with bows. Why should skeletons be the ones to only have bows, if an undead skeleton can wield a bow, why not a zombie. These ideas can even go to the strays, husks, and drowned. And what about Wither skeletons in armor.

    I agree but it should be rarer and they should be able to spawn with any type of sword

    It should be rare... like 1/20. I don't think it should drop diamond or gold though because that is too easy for early players to get that item if it's dropped.
