Eh, I wouldn't want all of my End City loot and fished Enchanted Books to be full of these ridiculous curses. At some point these just aren't any fun.

The only idea that is decent here is Curse of Confusion, just because it would be funny but wouldn't make your life completely miserable.

I think something like curse of drowning (less underwater time) or inefficiency (- mining speed per level) would be more fitting.

I think that there should be curses that mirror positive enchantments, such as inefficiency (opposite of efficiency), misfortune (opposite of fortune/looting), vulnerability (opposite of protection), etc.

The current curses are both related to your ability to wield/wear something and should keep that kind of theme. Things that negatively affect the player directly like the curse of sickening shouldn't be done, but something similar to your curse of weakening: Curse of Brittleness, which prevents unbreaking enchantments and causes the item to lose durability faster.

You should also be able to get a curse from enchantment tables, and other possible curses could be:

(Fishing rod) Unreliability: there is a chance that when you use the rod, it jams and there is a cooldown before you can use it again, like a broken shield.

Recklessness: when you destroy a block, the item pops further away.

When you get a curse on an enchanting table, the other enchantments should be better to balance it out.

Also there should be a way to specifically remove a curse. Maybe there could be a kind of purification table that eliminates the curse with light or something.

Hi, I love your idea! I agree with this; new curses should definitely be implemented into the game. After all, I just feel like we've only really seen positive things implemented into the game, not counting the Warden.

I don't really like the idea of the Curse of Confusion. First, that would be dreadfully annoying. Second, developers would have to create cursed versions of every single existing item in the game, and that would really be annoying. I agree with adding something like the Curse of Clumsiness, but there should at least be something like a five to ten second cooldown.

You should also be able to get these curses from an Enchanting Table. One way I was thinking of this is just getting a book enchanted with it on a standard enchanting table, maybe to prank your friends with it. Another way is that maybe you might be enchanting something, such as your sword. You enchanted it with Sharpness IV, but it unfortunately came along with Curse of Binding.
