Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Rails Able To Be Placed On The Sides And The Bottom Of Blocks

Make rails placeable on sides and bottoms of blocks in Minecraft. This would make rollercoasters more fun because loop the loops would be possible to make.

    Since when have trains been able to drive upside down?  Mine carts are modeled after trains and real minecarts, not roller coasters.

    And to add on to roller coaster idea, I would like to be able to attach the minecarts together with lead rope.

    Think think if this does get added, you would need high velocities to stay on the bottom and sides of blocks

    Very good idea. Currently, is it explicit in the data of a cube on which side a railway lies, or is it implicit (assumed be on top, without any cube-specific bits to it)?

    I think we only need the sides, not the bottom. because the bottom would be kinda useless.

    Nice idea! Would be even cooler if this came with some fresh minecart physics so the cart would have to have a certain velocity to complete the loop. Alternatively, they could add a 'sticky' rail that prevents minecarts from falling down on the cost of not being powered (A magnetic rail would be more realistic, but I feel sticky rails are a more minecrafty solution)

    Add a rail like a real life switch; activate by redstone or something and the rail rotates to a secong path of rails. I'm sorry i dont know whats its really called sorry
