Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Ice chest

Create ice chest to use as refrigerator to preserve food and add food expiry to the game. If a player eats expired food it poisons you.

    I don't like the idea, sorry. Food spoilage is a huge nerf with no added benefit.

    I feel like this is adding more complication to the game with no real added fun.

    I could see maybe having a freezer that you use a water bucket on and get a block of packed or blue ice in return though.

    I had made a huge in depth post on food spoilage and temperature as an addition to the difficulty level but they didn't approve it, not once but twice. I love the idea, food can be salted or frozen, with an ice box, like a double chest but vertical running on a block of ice - blue ice, yada-yada. I'm surprised this got posted...

    Love this idea because I had the same idea!! It adds more complexity to the game rather then just storing food and eating.

    I think this is a really good idea because it could act like a chest, like one could be call a freezer, but if you added another on top it would be like a double chest but open like a fridge, and it would store food.

    This block could also be a precursor for frozen treats such as Ice Cream or Popsicles. Craft Ice Cream with a bucket of milk and sugar, and maybe even add more flavors later. Craft a Popsicle with sweet berries and sugar. Ice Cream and Popsicles are not frozen until put into the Ice Chest, so maybe start with Ice Cream Custard, or something like that, and Juice for Popsicles.
