Elytra toggle key

 I think that a control to turn off the elytra with a keypress would be good, so that landing becomes easier.

I think it's important that it isn't locked as being the same as the activator key because those on lower end computers or poor connections who have to mash the spacebar to activate them would just keep toggling them on and off.

I would say that it could be default bound to R, Z, a function key or just not bound at all.

    I agree, and I believe that this is already a feature on Bedrock, or at least it used to be.  It made flying much more fun with the ability to deactivate your wings on the way up, float, then reactivate them on the way down.  Now that potions of slow falling are a thing, it would also help with getting down from giant heights without having to wait ages.  It is so much easier to land on one block spaces with this feature, and it seems like a really minor change.  It just a tweak I think betters the gameplay without radically changing it.  As for what button, the jump button was what was used on bedrock.  Strangely, you could only use this while in survival.
