Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Not see it happening for the next reasons:
1.) Minecraft is trying to exclude tech stuff.
2.) The chunks will be unloaded if you're not close enough.
    3.)  <Enter 3rd reason here>

not trying to diss your great idea but it would kinda spoil the game as the game is more based on fantasy and that's just too modern game

Every Time I open the door to my survival House... BOOM!!! Damn Creeper blows up my house! It would help som much if you had a camera outside your door to see if any Creepers are outside. Also it would be useful if you wanted to make Fnaf in minecraft

Cameras do exist in Education Edition and Bedrock Edition when the "Education Edition" setting is on, but it'd be nice if it was in vanilla Minecraft.

It would be good if you can only get it in creative, but in survival, not really.

I just had a really cool idea for security cameras. Of course Minecraft isn't about modern tech stuff, so I was thinking they could be a creative mode-only block that gives players an option to see things from the block's perspective. It would be a really good block to have for map-making. Maybe they could also be adjustable so there's a variety of angles to choose from, so maybe you could do a top-down perspective, side view, or any other angle.

Maybe rather than a CCTV style craft, you could have it so it will take stills if loaded with squid ink and paper, if the camera is crafted with a clock it could time stamp the shots. This would be lower tech but still allow you to hook it up to sensors to create a security camera to see who is stealing your loot.

It would be cool but Minecraft is based on the medieval time :)

You see...Minecraft is supposed to be a game where you play as a survivor in the wild away from civilization and the setting is timeless. Cameras are 100% 21st century blooded... So don't expect this to be in Minecraft.

A fantasy item with this functionality would be interesting. Maybe something like the spyglass that shows the point of view of a specific type of block.

It would be a great idea for 1.19 Bedrock/Java.

I think this security cameras and monitor should be limited to creative mode, similar to command blocks and structure blocks. In this way, it will not damage the core of avoiding technological content in the game, but also facilitate players

this would totally clash with the lack of other technology minecraft has

All of you getting blown up by creepers need to light up your front yard; maybe think about a wall or fence and gate.  If you want to see outside a wall, use windows.  They make your build look nice and more interesting, too.

There's 35 types of glass blocks to choose from, as well as fences, chains, bars, several trapdoors with holes, and all sorts of other weird blocks mobs can't or won't go through, but let you see what's on the other side.

This suggestion is really counter to MC's core themes, along with making chunk loading more complicated.  Sorry guys, I don't see it being likely at all.
