Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Bringing back the roses

I think Mojang should bring back the rose(and I am aware there is a rose bush in game, I mean bringing the flower back as a singular flower like dandelions and tulips.) If the flower got texture updates, the poppy was kept in game, and you could still make rose bushes I think it would be worth keeping. Also, I have seen enough videos to see that the community was upset with the decision to remove the rose. PLEASE BRING IT BACK!

    More flowers never hurt. Also maybe rose bushes can be split into multiple small roses and maybe you can dye it and make the cyan rose.

    yes now they made more flowers in the 1.14 snapshot so it would be a great time to implement it

    This is one of the things I really miss about Minecraft! I miss the old texture for dandelions and I miss the roses aswell. The rose bush is a great addition, I just feel like having the original rose in the game wouldn't hurt either!

    Can roses also have the same function as sweet berries in the idea that the hurt you do to thorns.

    PLEASE! I would also love pink roses, white roses, and also the blue roses in pocket edition. Also, wouldn't it be cool if there was a leaf texture with roses in it? It's like a rose bush block!

    they added lilys that are pretty much useless since we had bones and white tulips, so why not?

    you should also be able to put roses into Brewing Stands... sounds weird, but trust me

     

    so IRL, if you are in a 3rd grade science class, you will do an experiment where you put roses in colored water and it turns them different colors. see where i'm going?

    put a rose in the Brewing Stand with a dye, you can change the color of it. i'm not saying it has to be the c r a z y assortment of 16 colors, it could just be red, blue, and yellow.

     

    mojang should bring back both the rose and blue rose, regardless if this is a good idea or not

    Roses were great, perhaps there should be a mechanic that allows roses to be picked from the bush using shears and they can regrow overtime.

    Please add this, the single rose texture is classic, although at least we can manually change the aggressively average poppie texture back to the rose with a resource pack.

    I agree we should bring back the rose and a singular flower becuase When they replaced the rose with poppys they killed my two Minecraft single player BFFs, Rosie and Rosanna. (Rose flowers) Please bring them back Mojang!!

    In a recent video on the Minecraft YouTube channel it was stated that Roses were removed because rose bushes are more realistic. Maybe instead of them spawning naturally the player would have to shear rose bushes to get a few roses. This would make it more realistic to get and be a reason for Mojang to bring them back.

    shear the rose bush to get the rose.  You take 1 damage when punching it and walking on it.  Definetly a good idea.

    I agree, to add to the argument, if the majority of the community dose want roses back i see not reason as why it shouldn't? its not harmful in anyway, besides for the fact that people might think that roses grow by themselves which in its self isn't that harmful, but besides for that its something that i think a lot of people want. And they did add rose bushes for realism but i think it would be better if they kept the single rose because most people I know don't play Minecraft for realism, but they play it for the things you can't do in reality. In shot they should it back because its not that harmful, a lot of people want it back, and who cares about realism in a game that most people play for a escape from reality.

    Apparently the blue rose was the original flower but got swapped for a normal red rose. The rose later got removed and the poppy and rose bush were added. This was to make roses more realistic in Minecraft.

    So this is my idea. I was originally going to suggest this as a new suggestion but I saw someone already wanted roses back so I'm saying it here instead.

    Roses and blue roses would be added back into the game but would only be obtainable through commands. This would bring more options for builders on creative and would keep the game realistic like it is. Other people have suggested that roses should be prickly and hurt players. I think that there should be small rose bushes and tall rose bushes. The latter being the prickly one. Along with this there should be blue rose bushes. Maybe you could even pick the bushes to get rose flowers which would be used for decorations (like pot plants and item frames) and perhaps for agricultural purposes too (like breeding). 

    I really hope Mojang will update roses in the future!
