I love this post and all of the tree ideas, thanks so much for posting!

I do, however, want to disagree with the premise here. I don't think the goal should be to add trees of all the colors, the goal should simply be to expand our building palettes and expand the diversity of Minecraft plant life. To say that we need trees of all colors is to artificially force trees into a 16 color system that it wasn't meant to be in. (Remember that blocks that are part of the 16 color system are all dyeable blocks. Trees are not.)

There is a lot going on with this idea, but there's the seed to a great idea in it.

First off, the Overworld is more or less based on real-world equivalents.  There are only a few things in the Overworld that don't do this, (I'm looking at you Mooshroom!).  Throwing in magical trees just to obtain odd-color wood variants would change the theme of the Overworld.

If anything, magical trees would be better fitted in outside dimensions:  However, even this may be a bit much.  The Nether and The End have never really attempted to "mimic" the Overworld.  What the End has for "trees" are odd pillars of purple flesh.  And the Nether has so very little light that foliage wouldn't really be happy there.

Secondly, natural trees is a brilliant idea.  However, I think it's a bit out of balance with too many suggestions for the Jungle.  This would overwhelm an already laggy biome with too many trees.  They need to be spaced out more.  Perhaps Dragonblood would go better in the Savannah? Pictures online suggest that's where they reside.

And overwhelming the game with too many options that duplicate each other would be a bit much.  If we have a Dark Brown plank (Spruce) and an even darker Dark Brown plank (Dark Oak).  Then we might not need yet another Dark Brown plank.

I think a red-tinted wood plank is a wonderful idea and would create an opportunity to introduce a new biome (Cherry-Blossom Biome perhaps?  Certain species of Cherry are red tinted).  The additional colors of Pink and Magenta would be stunning as well.

All in all a great idea though.  I didn't know there is a Magenta tinted wood!  I looked it up and was amazed.  That would be a very wacky block in Minecraft!

I was originally planning on adding the remainders in a new dimension suggestion.  I only changed it to a new biome when it turned out that there were more wood colors that could be based on real trees than I expected.  I can write up the new dimension proposal in a new post.

I agree that adding a new brown is not necessary.  I start my brown by saying "Probably already covered by dark oak", after all.  But a different tone of brown wood would still be an interesting addition.

I agree that there are too many that go in the Jungle, which is why I suggested they each be relatively rare trees, but I'm placing them in the world based on where I could discover their real-world counterparts live.  That doesn't mean they need to go there.  If nothing else, a new tropical type biome could be introduced.

I did bring up cherry under pink.  I know the wood isn't actually pink, but it would match the theme of the tree well, and we already have trees that deviate from the natural tree.  Acacia is not orange, and I don't think there is a direct match with either the dark oak or the jungle tree.  A cherry blossom biome would be nice, but I'm trying to avoid too many new biome suggestions in the mix.  Obviously the devs are free to expand on my idea in any way they would like.

Too bizarre.  One thing, though.  Holly wood is VERY yellow.

This is an Amazing idea. Colored wood would expand the creativity of building by a point to where it’s can be classified as infinite. It would be perfect for map makers and builders alike. I really like this idea, you have my Vote.

Crimson and warped stems satisfied magenta and cyan, respectively.

The purpleheart should make purple wooden planks, but they should spawn in The End to make The End a little more appealing than just trying to find elytra in end cities.

For yellow, cedar would be a better bet since cedar wood was known for its yellowish color. The shrublands biome should come back and put both cedar and walnut trees in the biome.

Birch should be a little more light gray to make it more like birch.

The Nether should have the bloodwood as you mentioned in the crimson forest to give more red color to the crimson forest. In contrast with the bloodwood, the warped forest should have some blue and light blue wood.

The green, though illogically, would come from saguaro cacti which would probably be different from the current cacti with its own desert biome, a cactus forest. The cacti's stem would make 4 cactus planks which would be green; however, if the green-colored wood should come from a more logical source than a cactus, The Nether should make another biome with yellow, lime, and green trees/ huge fungi to contrast with the magenta and cyan (I had the printer colors in mind).

Otherwise, if adding 16 more trees is too much for the developers, the developers should add just cedar, walnut, purpleheart in The End, and bloodwood in The Nether, they should also include some kind of lipid so that it's possible to craft glazes or stains to color planks and mix like how two dyes can mix in a cauldron.

from the minecraft game of beyond the nether by g2crafted, there's the bloodoak, an oak tree that has a beet root red like color wood and the tar wood tree, a weeping willow like tree that has white colored leaves, a birch wood like bark and black colored wood.  If you go to Beyond the Nether by G2Crafted and play their game, you would be able to find the two types of wood of these trees.  I have, because I have that in my minecraft game.
