Pixies and Fairies

Hello! A quick notice if you don’t know who I am. I’m Star, but you can call me Kitty and I love Minecraft! Ok, let me state something. Fairies and pixies are pretty much the same thing, but fairies are 6 inches and pixies are 4. Ok? I’m going to say fairies (I accidentally said hairies... -~-) for this.. ok? Let’s go! So, fairies should spawn in a variety of places. Forests, deserts, oceans and mushroom islands! They’re kinda rare.

  • Let’s talk about ocean fairies. (Mermaids are fairies) They can be male or female. Males will have glowing, dark blue fins on the side of the head, short hair (blue), black or white?) skin glows, blue wings, too. (Small wings) Females will have long hair (or short) with a dark blue fins, and and and a dress (light blue). Smaller than males. Cast water beams at player if hurt WITH A WEAPON.
  • Forest Fairies: Males have brown or green hair, leafy shirt, brown pants, green shiny wings. Females have long or short brown or green hair, green dress, flower crown, green wings. Casts leafy winds in harmed WITH A WEAPON.
  • Dessert fairies: Males have short blonde hair, White tank top, brown pants, sand colored wings. Females long or short blonde hair, a brown bracelet, white tank top and brown skirt. Sand colored wings. Cast sandstorms if harmed WITH A WEAPON.
  • Mushroom Faires: males wear a mushroom print shirt, with brown pants. Purple hair. Females have long purple hair with a mushroom hat, a mushroom skirt and a white shirt. Both have purple wings. Cast mushroom storms (Idk...) if harmed WITH A WEAPON.
  • (Bounus!) Nether Fairies (You made it here! I’m proud.) Males have orange hair, a fire print shirt, maroon pants. Females have long orange hair, yellow shirt, and fire shorts. Red wings. Shoots Fire blasts if harmed WITH ANYTHING.
  • (BOUNUS!) Ender fairies: Males have black hair (Purple eyes) Dark purple jacket, black pants. Females have long purple hair, dark purple jacket, black skirt.(Heal ender dragon if REALLY low.)

    I like the idea of fairies but i would prefer they work much differently. They could look like small glowing blocks with wings that are textured 2d planes. (Very similar looking to fairies form the legend of zelda.) A catching mechanic would let you equip the fairies so that they fly around you. Having a fairy equipped gives you an xp multiplier. you could equip multiple to fly around you, but doing so would increase the chances of you hitting them by accident in combat. Having this way to get bonus xp would be a little too powerful so catching fairies should be somehow limited to the endgame. 

    Honestly, I just want to play minecraft with a little buddy by my side, other than wolves.

    I'd be fine with some kind of "Fair Folk" collective as a new group of odd and obscure mobs in the world. They could spawn in some kind of small collective of buildings, like a little ring of hollowed out trees or specially hollowed burrow blocks. I wouldn't think that they'd have more than say, 10 health points (5 hearts) but would deal some decent to high damage.

    I'm sorry but this is not necessary. Fairies and Pixies are not Minecraft material. That's my opinion and a lot of people would agree on that but I'm glad that you're getting a lot of support. :)

    I think fairy type creatures would definitely fit in the world of Minecraft, if done properly. I like your idea but I fear for it's future considering it doesn't really feel minecrafty. I had some ideas of my own but they got removed for being too similar to another thread (Oops). That's how I found this thread.

    I think the main issue with your idea, is the gender. Minecraft (from my point of view) is a very gender neutral game for a reason. And throwing in male and female mob variants will mess with that message. I think different hair styles and clothes are a good idea, but don't attach gender to it. That fairy with a dress could be male or female, we don't know.

    And secondly, Minecraft already has a fae-like mob, the vex. And a system that works with/and/or around it would fit much better in the over all game.

    I think that when the caves and cliffs update comes out, fairies should also be found in the lush caves too. They would look somewhat like the forest fairies probably, but a little more flowery. They would probably still have green wings, but maybe flowery colored hair. I really like this idea, and I hope it gets added to Minecraft!

    Forest Fairies should look like floating experience orb to keep their appearance neutral.
