Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

"can be a good thing or something"

You've got to give better reasons than that for including your idea. Why is it good from a gameplay standpoint?

I can see why making things renewable is a good idea, but I personally don't have a problem getting dirt.  Even without biome decimation, I find a lot of dirt while caving.  So for me, it's understanding that dirt is a valuable resource and I shouldn't be ignoring those dirt patches.

Dirt is technically renewable using coarse dirt.

If you hoe it, it turns into dirt so if you craft it using 2 dirt and 2 gravel you can hoe it into 4 dirt, so your turning gravel into dirt and you can duplicate gravel using gravity based farms.

I wouldn't call being able to duplicate gravel as gravel being renewable...  I seriously doubt any duplication ability is intended behavior.

It would be awesome for a sky block

this would be very useful for repairing creeper holes and build certain things. dirt at the moment can only be renewed by getting podzol from a trader which is very inefficient

Definitely would be a good idea. Dirt isn't used often, but if you're making big farms, or like what Geminibros said, if you're playing skyblock, dirt can very quickly be used up. Plus (imo) it's not exactly fun to terraform all day and Rotten Flesh is barely used.

(Also, it could mean dirt mansions are possible...)
