Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Stick updates (was: Sticks)

 They should add different variants of the sticks like the birch sticks (made with birch planks only and are the color of birch, similar to the birch buttons), spruce sticks (made with spruce planks only) etc.

    I basically want the sticks to blend in with the planks you used, it's a simple change and I really don't see a HUGE reason of why it should have an use, I think maybe it would a cool thing added to the game similar to how different wood types of buttons and trapdoors were interesting.

    The issue with this is that sticks are almost exclusively used for crafting, not decorating or building. So this would not add to the aesthetic possibilities of Minecraft in any significant way, unlike trapdoors or buttons, which actually can be used in builds.

    In addition, sometimes it's nice to be able to use up two loose planks of different species by turning them into sticks. Interesting idea, but no support from me.

    Don't you think it would be nice to have birch sticks so you can have a birch handle to your diamond sword instead of the boring oak all the time.

    Interesting. Might be good to change item frame borders but it would mostly be an inconvenience for crafting and for not much purpose. It takes away a lot more than it adds. But it has potential.

    The reason this feature is important is because we NEED variants for ladders, which use only sticks in their recipe. This way there can be new ladder variants without changing the recipe.

    What is the different sticks affected the hilts of your tool though?

    When tools are made with the same color stick, they would obviously have the same color handle. But, if two sticks of different color are used, they could either change to the default color, randomly choose either color, or do a combination of both
