Disable individual mobs from spawning

Currently you have two options in Minecraft; play with monsters, or without them and wolves etc. What if you could disable individual mobs from spawning? Like this:

/gamerule doMobSpawning Creeper false

To disable only creepers from spawning. I think this would be helpful and very enjoyable, especially for the survival builders who hate creepers but need spiders for strings.

  I’m sick and tired of ghastly phantoms and drowned, but I still want zombies and piglins and the like. This would be awesome

  Agreed. Hard to be immersed when im doing a zombie apocalypse play through and i get a bunch of creepers, skeletons, spiders, and enderman.

  I wholeheartedly support this. I sent the same idea to mojang here, but it never got going. It could also be just in the settings when you start the world. It would probably have to be with cheats on as much as I want it with cheats off, since it’s cheating and what is stopping people from playing in hard mode with all mobs off or something. But I totally agree with this.
