This so much. Can't make a proper ocean world without all the different ocean biomes included.

it would also be nice to have an option to get all the biomes, like a normal world.(not including nether and end, you should have to use porlals to get to them)

There should be boxes next to the biomes by clicking which you can select them. It'd display a checkmark. There should also be "select all" and "deselect" options.

A select multiple would be probably the easier of them to implement, doing the whole coordinates things might be overkill.

There should also be sliders to determine how rare the biomes are.

Just bring back custom presets and merge buffet but also add biome selection.

its also worth noting that in its current state even only generating worlds with 1 biome type, there are a couple of really major problems. namely that in cave worlds trees cant generate which massively hinders survival, and in sky islands diamonds barely ever generate if they generate at all, because the islands usually dont go below 16 where diamonds would be generated, and while a small amount of terrain does generate below 16, its so small that the already rare diamonds are non existent for a survival player. i really hope the buffet generation is still being worked on, if you could fix these issues and make it possible to generate a world with all or at least more than one biome that would be amazing.

This basically NEEDS to be added into the game.

maybe a percentage aswell, for example 90% desert 10% badlands

I'd rather just have the World Type: Customized option back.

Though this may be wishful thinking but maybe they could add an option where if you hover your mouse over an option or slider, it gives a brief hovering dialogue window that describes what this effects.

If the keep working on Buffet then I think it would be useful to allow trees to spawn in the cave option for world generation because the cave generation is clearly based on the nether generation (Similar to the island generation which is based on the end) and while it made sense before that there were no trees, now the nether is capable of having trees since the nether update snapshots. Because of this, I think that the caves generations on buffet should spawn trees, and hopefully, since it is related to nether terrain generation it could be implemented in the nether update.

My thoughts: checkboxes to choose which biomes you want. Maybe each biome and all of its variants can either be selected all together or separately such as ‘All Oceans’ or just ‘Lukewarm Ocean’. Then with each biome add a percentage slider for customisation, for example 10% Ocean; 20% Savannah; 20% Jungle; 10% Desert; 20% Mesa; 10% Plains; 10% Mountains.
Lastly, I believe it would be nice to customise structures. For example, because Desert Temples are not too uncommon, it would make sense to be able to choose their generation rate to prevent them from spawning too often in a world of only a few biomes.

Not only would this make it seriously easy to build in certain biomes and take on challenges such as desert survival, but it would also allow the player to fully customise the scenery if they were building a map or just playing regular survival but without their least favourite biomes. I personally am a fan of this, sounds great to me.

One of the things that I REALLY want. Maybe in Buffets or when Customized worlds return.

great idea I am trying to create skylands, but I want more than one biom and no oceans in this one. would be the perfect solution.

Yeah I was wondering the same. I like to play "Badlands Survival" or "Ocean Survival", but then comes the question which biome - Badlands, Badlands Plateau, Eroded Badlands, Modified Badlands Plateau OR Ocean, Deep Ocean, Warm Ocean, Lukewarm Ocean, Deep Lukewarm Ocean, Cold Ocean, Deep Cold Ocean, Frozen Ocean, Deep Frozen Ocean

For the Badlands I guess Modified Badlands Plateau is the best in terms of variety of the terain, but for the Oceans is like "Nah you will survive if you don't die of boredom"

And if you the chosen biome is Badlands Plateau(Wooded) the is 9/10 chance to be spawned inside the plateau - enjoy your 1st day in the world punching stone and terracotta just to see the sunset

    EDIT: I fould some typos

It's definitely hard to find specific biomes next to eachother so this'd be nice.

I was just thinking of this! I wanted to make a Warped Forest and End Highlands only world, so I could pretend I'm on an alien planet, and I was very annoyed I couldn't even cntrl-click to multiselect.

And, I guess you could call it "All-you-can-eat"!

Yeah! I mean, the whole point of a buffet is that you choose what you want, so why not plate up multiple biomes?
