Dream Biome!

Okay, I'm not talking about a city in the sky or anything like that, I'm talking about how when you go to bed in the game NOTHING HAPPENS!!! Make it so when you go to bed, you wake up instead of the real world, you end up in a dream dimension! The dream biome you end up in varies on where you go to bed in the real world (For example: If you go to sleep in the desert, you'll end up in a desert dream biome), and you get 5 minutes or so to stay in this world! Now during this 5 minutes you can do minor stuff like gather resourses, build buildings and fight nightmare mobs, and when the dream is over, you get various different kinds of effects in the real (For example: If you gather enough dream resourses, you get a few minutes of night vision or saturation), and add new dream ores: The more of these ores you collect the better your effects after the dream will be. Maybe add new dream grass to build in your dreams or maybe dream wood and dream stone to build with and make dream tools! And here's where the best part comes in, when you go back to bed in the real world, you keep your dream progress, but if you don't sleep for awhile, the dream begins to go bad and new dream monsters start taking over your dream. Also, if you take out enough nightmare monsters the better the real world will be! Like maybe a boost of health or more. If you get killed in your dream you wake up in the real world with slowness, hunger, blindness and weakness called "The Nightmare Effect" for a whole minute. Oh yeah, and if you want to leave the dimension at anytime, just jump 3 times in a row in the same spot.

    This reminds me of the Shivering Isles, the Oblivion DLC. I love that it isn't just building another portal.

    This concept is nice. Maybe we could add an uncraftable double bed which spawns in the Woodland Masion (rather than the wool blocks). When you sleep in the double bed, you are transported to the Dream Dimension.

    I'd make it so that when you die in the Dream Dimension, you wake up in the double bed but keep all the loot you have aquired.

    It's a cool concept, I don't agree with all your ideas, but it is a very cool idea. Worth considering.

    Maybe but I think the player should have the choice to go to the dream world or not.

    And then you get the powers and luck of dream himself lol. You can clutch everything without having to press anything lol.

    Give a reason to stay awake and fall asleep, killing phantoms, making slow falling potions. And falling asleep under the effects of slow falling would induce a sleep state. The world is similar [having same biomes, no structures or damage, and the false threat of dark figures running at you would only appear if you stole from villagers and drink a slowness potion with the slow falling potion.

    I feel the dream can be a way of both portraying the crafting process of complex items like cake [either giving the player all items to assemble it in a trial way or perhaps blatantly showing the development of the wither, how prospering can lead to destruction
    Small journeys that generate new terrain to lead toward potential areas of interest near the player, or a mixture of all, a way to discover minecraft in survival without the struggle.

    And if you drink a slowness potion they come for you, instead of tutorial dreams, darkened player models and villager models slowly walk in on the player from surrounding areas, attacking them provides meat that can be crafted into meat blocks, meat blocks cannot be stacked on top of eachother, only creating a gross layer of meat. The floor is bedrock and the trees are just obsidian pillars. Occasionally finding a bush that provides a stick, a chest not so full of moss, a lonely redstone contraption, and a diamond block you'll never have the stone or iron to obtain. All while shadow things walk into, around, and dissapear at you, turning into meat

    I read about someones idea of a dreamcatcher, and wanted to add more! First of all, you could craft a dreamcatcher but it would be pretty hard to get the recipe (Probably would have to get an unknown achievement) Then, you could craft it! It would probably look pretty simple, a blocky circle with white-ish strings hanging down (All attached, sort of like the ram's coloring and style for the hanging fur) It would be either 2d or 3d! Then, you would have to enchant it (Again, with a mystery enchantment that came up only in the enchanting language) And hang it up over your bed! Obviously, that is WAY too much to get a few seconds in the dream world, but just for some other ideas.

    This is a little too OP. Maybe the effects should only come if you spend 20 days in a row doing the things you mentioned.

    it could be a rare event when sleeping, and also you could find a dreamcatcher that if you hang above your bed phantoms will no longer spawn

    I think Is important the generation point, too. I think the "Dream World" can't Have big ravines or big Mountains, because you Have only fifth minutes to stay in this world. You can't put the bed in this world, or you do "A Dream in a Dream". I like all Your ideas, I'm exciting! Is... A Dream! :)

    If you are in multiplayer, everybody Have to accepted to enter in the Dream biome, with a button when you go to bed. Like sleep to slip the night. Also, if someone not accepted, Players can't go them.

    I have to agree! Sleeping can get very boring! It would also be cool if it was multiplayer too. For example: people in the world that sleep will go into the dream world together so you dont have to be alone in the dream world! Awesome idea though!

    I think the Dream biome should allow the player to collect resources that can be brought back to your world in hand, similar to the cat that collects items for you but you get things that don't exist in the Overworld.                                                                                                                                                       If I slept in my bed and during my dream I collect Different Items that i can't find in the real world.                And after I wake up I could still have the items from the Dream Biome in hand.

    Sounds cool but I would like to have the option to enter the dream world or not. For example, I go to bed, 2 options pop up. One, to sleep normally, 2, to enter your dream world. Sometimes I just want to sleep so I don't have mobs attacking me while I build my house. Good idea though!

    Imagine A Dream of Endless Netherite and Gold, once you awaken from you sleep you have those Items and blocks in your Inventory or off hand just waiting to be used in the Overworld.

    A Dream that Lasts for 20 Minutes before Day break with the Player doing Dream like things.

    One of the most basic items in the game should not allow you to access a new dimension. That basically ruins the entire flow of the game in my opinion.
