    We should at least be able to trade games like windows 10 to java. Please look at this

    I want this, but I feel like this is so consumer-friendly to the point of it being too good to be true! Especially from that company called "MiCr0s0fT".

    Java edition is completely different from the xbox version so no buy the 20 dollar game. You will never financially recover from this (;

    This whole situation sucks. I bought the java version 10 years ago. I also bought the xbox, switch, ipad and android version of the game and now they're telling me I can't get a free copy of bedrock windows 10 because the redemption period is over. They've gotta be kidding if they think I'm gonna pay $30 for a game I've already owned for 10 years.

    This would be a big no, because Java and Bedrock run on different code for a reason, because C++ allows good performance even on low end devices, and Java needs a high end device to be played on

    the idea is good but if there was like 50%off it would be cool too i really want the java because many mods can only be obtained by twitch so tlauncher doesnt work like: i wanted modpack "all the mods 5" but i don't want to install 200 mods one by one

    I strongly agree with this post. I have Bedrock and lots of my friends have Java and encourage me to get it. I should not have to pay for Minecraft a second time.

    I think Minecraft java should be sold on windows store just to make it more simple so you don't have to create like 3 different accounts

    I think an easier solution would be to allow bedrock players to play java servers.

    Perhaps part of the reason that they do that is all Java devices can run Bedrock but the massive amount of Xbox, Nintendo Switch and Pocket edition players would get a game that they can't use due to having no/a bad computer.

    I agree, this is very important I love the idea of understandable redstone and advancements per world, but these are all Java only features. I also think that the discount price would be a more fair approach as the pocket edition is cheaper.

    I wholeheartedly agree. I don't want to pay 70 Egyptian pounds just to play the same game except with friends. It is nonsensical. Idc if it costs 20 dollars, it is too expensive Outside of the USA.

    While I think many people love this Idea, I don't. while it could be nice it means that your giving away two separate games. What I would instead do is let you keep your purchase of Bedrock edition over all the different platforms. As of right now we have to rebuy Minecraft Bedrock edition on for example the Switch even if I have already bought it on Xbox.

    kinda late to this but I was checking out how much more java was and its only five dollars (right now when im posting this). I want to get java and I've already got bedrock but I don't think its fair that I have to pay the full price over five dollar difference. i completely understand if it weren't free but the least they could do is make it less expensive for bedrock players.

    This would be great with the new account switch over, if you have bedrock in that account you can get java for free and vice versa

    Exactly all my friends play on java and I have bedrock. I can't afford to buy java edition, I'm agreeing with you they need to let bedrock players get java for free because all of this is so unfair and shows how money hungry they get.

    No, Bedrock < Java; instead, Mojang should reopen event for Java owners getting free Windows Bedrock version. They are migrating Mojang into Microsoft, they should do it again for Java owners.

    Just do it mojang I have bought Minecraft 5 times:kindle xbox 360, xbox one, android, and now Minecraft bedrock, please make Java available for bedrock players as you have done for these java players because I have also been playing for sinse the game first game came out on pocket then 360. Also since your planning on using Microsoft accounts if you have Minecraft purchased on one version the game should transfer this over so when you sign in on java it will allow you to play and play online
