Bedrock players should be able to get Java Edition for free!

I have a friend who is in the Windows 10 Edition and they want to get Java Edition but don't wanna have to pay for Minecraft again. I know that Java players can get free Windows 10 accounts, so why not the other way around?

 

I am aware that this would create a loop where once you obtain your free account, you can use it to obtain another free account in the other version, and the process can continue. However, I have an idea that would be able to solve the loop.

 

Each account in both versions would have a stat. The stat would read one of two things:

1. Account Bought

2. Account Redeemed

 

If your account was redeemed, you wouldn't be able to get a redeem code for an account of the other version. For example:

 

You buy a Java account. This account's stat would read "Account Bought." You could then use the bought account to obtain a redeem code to get a Windows 10 account, however this account's stat would instead read "Account Redeemed." You could only get one redeemed account per "bought" account and you could not use a "redeemed" account to get a redeem code for the other version.

 

I really hope this gets seen by a developer at Mojang because I really wanna play with my friend on Java.

    This isnt quite fair, if you think about it, because Java players payed more than bedrock players did, making it not fair at all for the Java players

    Tch if they're trying to "encourage" Java players to join bedrock then I'ma stop playing mc over all. I am not against Java edition it's just more difficult to mod for me on there. Plus the controls feel weird as flip on a computer so windows 10 edition would be wasted money for me. And not to mention the fact that I'm not much of a mobile gamer so in addition to the fact that Minecraft bedrock on phone is difficult for me to do it's best they don't force Minecraft Java players to bedrock. Not all Java players will be okay with being shoved into bedrock. Another tidbit... Java servers are waaaaay flipping better. All you need is one ip and boom. Multiple versions multiple game modes and so much more (on account with modded servers and modpacks) versus.... Okay wtf? Why have a ip and port?? Also where are the mods?? Modpacks?? What games are there? Mineplex is almost dead anyway... Bye bedrock lmao 😂🙄 hwyl ffrind! Nos da.

    They're probably doing this to get rid of "version exclusion", which is where one version gets or loses one thin, and the other doesn't. Also, I have a question for the Development team. I have MCPE. Do I get the other 2 versions?

    They never said anything about only Bedrock getting this deal, they just pulled a "come on its buy one get one free time" and that's it.

    this would be so good, I already paid to have bedrock on console but all my friends have java and i cant play with them.

    buy Minecraft in China,Only 12 USD.You can have bedrock and java eadition.Switch to China region.

    Some users who buy the game on mobile iOS and log in to Minecraft.net with that same account seem to only have Bedrock, not Java. This offer needs to happen no matter the platform they buy the game on.

    Yeah i just had to pay 35 quid for Java even thou i played bedrock way before they were bundled together
