Axe and trident should have more weapon enchants through the anvil

Excellent ideas all around. My take on the tridents is this: add Sharpness, but not Smite or Bane of Arthropods. That way, the Trident would have its own water-mobs-exclusive damage-increasing Impaling enchantment; Swords and Axes would have their two above-ground-mobs-exclusive damage-increasing enchantments, Smite and Bane of Arthropods; meanwhile, all three weapons would have access to the weaker but all-purpose damage-increasing Sharpness enchantment. That seems well-balanced to me.

Who said anything about sweeping edge being worthless?  I only said that it doesn't make sense for axes or tridents, because it doesn't.  It is an enchantment for the slicing weapon, the sword.

The trident should be just as strong above ground as it is under, for there is already a lack of weapons. Also it would be a nice alternative to swords.

With an anvil, we should have the choice for the Trident:
Impaling or Power or Sharpness or Smite or Bane of Arthropods (mutually exclusive)

    Same for the sword:
Impaling or Sharpness or Smite or Bane of Arthropods (mutually exclusive)

Being able to found "1.13's impossible enchantements's items" in some rare chests (from donjons or so), examples:
    Axe/Trident/Bow/Hoe with Looting enchantment,
    Sword/Trident with Fortune enchantment,

Tridents do actually need sweeping edge. They currently lack the ability to properly deal with grouped enemies up close in any version of the game, & sweeping would fix that nicely.

To people advocating for Tridents (and Axes) to have Sweeping Edge... Tell me, how often do you see people with battle axes or pronged stab-weapons sweeping them sideways effectively in battle? Take your time, I'll wait.

@riptor werewolf, I know that's not effective in real life, but Minecraft isn't real, & the lack of sweeping edge holds tridents back from being a viable weapon.

HolscherHead Axes don't have sweeping edge and they're still a viable weapon.

Knockback especially should be an option for axes. Axes are designed to maximize damage per hit, which makes pushing your opponent back way more useful on them than swords.
