Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Gas lantern

I think they should add gas lanterns. You would make it with three iron at the top of a crafting table, on the second layer you would have a bucket of gasoline (you can get it by strip mining at anywhere from Y5 - Y15, also if it touches lava it explodes) and on the bottom layer you would have 3 iron. It would light a up 30 block area around it, and would prevent mobs from spawning in that area. You will have to refill it with gasoline every 2 day and night cycles, but if the light goes out mobs still won’t spawn in that 30 block area.

    I can't really get excited about a light source that requires constant refueling.  However, lanterns would be a nice addition for builders.  I'd personally rather it be a normal lantern (perhaps crafted with glowstone?) that will be a more aesthetic light source.

    That's a great idea simalor to wut I was thinking but y not just make it like the torch (which is infinite) like still the same crafting recipe but infinite n make it so when it's in the players hand as a item it still provides light while walking in the dark. And I say this because I seen it in a YouTube vid n the guy (sorry I forgot his name) said notch didn't want to put them in the game because it was to difficult or something but I disagree I think it would be an awesome idea

    obtainable my mining , seems a bit far out there.

    imagine mining: " Oh, look I found a propane tank!  The dinos must have ben having a cook out"
