Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Glowing flowers?

I am very interested in seeing some flowers that could bloom and glow in the dark and only in the dark and close up when the sun rises. I have seen this concept in a few mods and believe it is an awesome idea.

    This would be a fantastic way to decorate without using torches, glowstone, or lamps! 

    Right clicking a flower with Glowstone Dust should make it give off light!

    Brown mushrooms glow and grow in the dark, but the light is very faint.

    I suggest adding a new type of mushroom. They would be blue and grow in caves, and also spread blue light around. They would grow on stone blocks, earth blocks and other stone blocks.

    Thats a very great idea! Mabye they could do a lighting biome with blue glowing mushrooms and glowing flowers. And a huge blue tree or something! That sounds like a fairytale forest now when i thinking of it

    It should give off an effect at a small radius to the player.

    ohmygod. It could be native to the flower forest, and be a block tall. It would make the biome more magical at night! But it'd have to be a real flower, maybe portulacas? It doesn't really glow like how you imagine it, but it's close enough. And it's colorful enough. A white rose wouldn't be very creative.
