Roaming Pet's

So this is just a small feature but it will be really cool if you guys add it, so Pet's can only sit and follow you, but I wish there was another mode so where they will roam around 5 x 5 blocks from where the place where they are commanded to roam around, so you can make an enclosure with your llama and dolphins and other animals and you can put your pet in the enclosure without your pet just sitting all day long.

    This. Pets such as dogs and cats have their "third button" (shift click) unused. So, left click, sit/follow, shift click, roam, with the left click action putting them into a sit after roaming and releasing them putting them into a follow. IE: left click sit takes priority over roaming, but releases into a follow. Stand the dog into a follow, shift click to roam.

    I love this idea. The world's look so boring with them just sitting around or having to follow you. This would bring more life to the game.

    PLEASE ADD THIS. Something like the foxes where they can be put in a setting where they can roam wherever they want. Most animals don't travel far distances from where they're led: foxes, axolotols, cows, ect. Please make a setting so they're like the other animals! They're current following ai is really stupid and they can't reasonably be taken anywhere because they'll die. They're essentially useless right now because the original idea for them is un useable and unreliable. The other option, sitting, is boring and lifeless, and thats not how animals act. I often built sanctuaries for foxes in the game, usually a park with no fences that they free roam, i want pets to be like this! I want to wander around my builds and happily run into them running around the area! Please add a 3rd mode, im begging for this. And also in peaceful mode the cats, dogs, and parrots should be immortal, its terribly sad losing a minecraft pet.

    I thought it might be a good idea to pair pets with a lodestone so they can't leave a specific chunk or something

    I really want this feature in Minecraft plus to make it safe you could fence off a bit of your world and let them roam freely

    I'd love for my dogs and cats to be able to roam the house. When they follow me I'm always worried ab them, but if not they just sit there the entire time.
