Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

You can feed it to fish, turtles and possibly other swamp mobs. All animals of the swamp should enjoy it and enter love mode.

I do not think it should be 3 hunger bars. Algae seems too simplistic to give you a whole 3 hunger bars.  One, perhaps, but not 3.

Also, there should be two types of "Algae": "Underwater Algae" & "Surface Algae".
Both, like grass, can spread., but over different block types.

    • Underwater Alage - Can cover gravel, stone, sand, dirt, & bone. It works like grass does, and covers the block as an "overlay", and is broken by right-clicking with a shovel.
    • Surface Algae - Can only cover water source blocks. It works like carpet, and is broken by contact.

Both have a chance to drop an "Algae Clump", which can be used to make an "Algae Block", which is very slippery.

No food points.  Algae should be slippery only when on a block that isn't water.  And, make it able to scoop up in a bucket.

I think this would be a welcome addition to swamps in 1.19. However, if algae is common in swamps, it shouldn't fill hunger. Maybe you could make some sort of thatch from it instead?

you should be able to make biofuel using algae and kelp and if you cook it you should be able to make green dye
also, algae would be used in the composter and it would create more levels in the composter than other easy to farm plants (grass, kelp, etc)

algae should not be edible because a lot of species of algae are poisonous
if you slip on it swamps would be even more annoying
