Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

New pie types

Yay! New pie! We only have one pie in Minecraft (pumpkin pie) we need more! This post is going to be about 2 new pies that we could make with existing items. First is apple pie. You would make it the same way as pumpkin pie but replace the pumpkin stuff with apple stuff. It gives you the same hunger bars as pumpkin pie. The next is chocolate pie! It would be made the same as pumpkin pie, but replace the pumpkin stuff with coco bean stuff. It give you the same hunger bars as pumpkin pie. Thanks for reading.     As a pie-lover, I greatly appreciate this idea, but I think different pies should offer different advantages. For example, apples are somewhat more common, so maybe they don’t fill as much hunger, but you would be able to make more of these pies. As for chocolate, depending on where you spawn, it can be harder to get cocoa beans to make this item, so maybe it fills more hunger or has better saturation. It could also be both a little useful and funny if eating the chocolate pie gave you a “sugar rush” and increased your speed slightly for a tiny bit. The concept of “more variations on existing recipes” could be expanded with cakes as well, with chocolate cake and, as was mentioned in a different comment, carrot cake.

    Yes! Apple pie, carrot pue, potato pie, meat pie, chocolate pie, sweet Berrie pie you name it! Wheat sugar and said food item.

    Love the idea! I’m a HUUGGEE advocate for updating Minecraft’s food/cooking system. So love that someone else is trying for an update to the food/cooking system as well! Keep up the good work!

    I think this is an obvious one... We should already have new pies... And I'd like to add that we should be able to place the pies like we can place a cake... In fact, it would be great if we could place all of the food ;)  Imagine having a huge table full of all of your favorite foods!  :D

    AbbyF3 yeah I'm weird (I think it's just me anyway) so for some reason I really enjoy making different food and recipes and things in video games even if I have to go way out of my way to do it and it doesn't really make that big a difference, lol. I do the same thing with fashion.

    To expand on this idea and the desire to give all things purpose in minecraft, pies and cakes should work similarly to the stew mechanic, switch the main filling for pies and add an ingredient with cakes, perhaps even with cookies, but im reaching with that one 😆.

    With the addition of these various pie types I think it would be a lovely way to interact with villagers. By giving different types of dishes to different types of villagers, either by profession or by biome type. You could get something similar to the hero effect like a Hospitable effect and instead invoking rarer trades, or getting them to work faster.

    This new system could be a limited time effect after the gift or based on a happiness/friendship meter that either is refillable and diminishes over time or one that permanently levels up/unlocks the desired effect on the villager.

    We should have apple, sweet berry pie, chicken pie, and beef pie! similar recipe as the pumpkin pie but replace the pumpkin with the apple, sweet berry, chicken and steak.

    We need chocolate pie, apple pie, golden apple pie, berry pie, glow berry pie, shepherds pie, and potato pie. Maybe you could add a pizza too :)
