Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Better Glass/Aquarium Glass (Mainly for aquariums)

I think another great addition to the game would be either to edit glass panes to where they’ll hold water, or to make a new and specific glass for aquariums. Any Minecraft player who’s tried to build an aquarium knows that if you try to use glass panes - they will leak, and if you try to use glass blocks, there will be a strange space between the glass and the water, and it’s hard to see anything in the aquarium. In my opinion, the best solution would to be to add a new glass block called “Aquarium Glass”. The glass would act like glass panes, with the addition of the ability to hold water and be very clear of easy viewing of fish. This glass would work fantastic for small, in-home aquariums and large-scale Dolphin aquariums alike.

If you accept this idea, I would like to also suggest an aquarium lid/light block. This block would be a half-block on the bottom like a stone slab, but would be lighted from the bottom just like a real aquarium to make it easier to see the fish. Thank you for considering my idea!

    There is basically one way that I can imagine aquarium glass actually working.  Basically, the thin pane would be up against the edge of the block.  Either it is waterlogged and prevents water from flowing out the side where the pane is (like how waterlogged stairs don't flow through the "solid" faces of the stair block) or you place it so that the pane is against the water but is not waterlogged, but is flush against the block that does contain water.

    Yeah I'd love this. I love making aquariums since 1.13 but it's such a bummer you can hardly see the fish behind the glass :(

    This probably should have already been added into 1.13. I would prefer that regular glass would allow you to see through water already. But if this is the price of aquariums, I guess it'll have to do.

    I would like a glass pane that emits light! Remove the streaks! Clean lines!

    The clunkiness of full glass blocks is annoying but manageable IMO. I’d really like to see some sort of clarified glass option, just to remove the streaks. Or even if aquarium panes functioned like full blocks so the water wouldn’t run on the back side causing fish to get stuck; that would be nice too. There are some really nice fish models out there now and it’s a shame you can’t showcase them any better.

    Maybe changing the panes to be at the edge of the block instead of the middle when in contact with water could remove the problems with glass-pane aquariums.

    i think a better way is to make a glass that acts like a cauldron and can be combined like stairs to make what size your aquarium is

    My problem with the glass blocks is that the water isn’t clear to see the fish or sea life. I decided to build a Minecraft Aquarium but the water is too cloudy. It’s like looking into stained glass. If you jump into water, it’s cloudy at first but then it clears up. We need a type of marine glass that makes water clear
