Nice well throughout idea would be cool to see these items in Minecraft making it even better.

No taming unless if you do the same thing as the baby foxes

This suggestion is interesting but seemed to go off the rails a bit here. The armor is very excessive. Stick Blocks could just be replaced with Logs. Also, as beavers cannot be realistically tamed, nor should they be in Minecraft. I can't imagine beavers are intelligent enough to make chests, either. As beavers aren't especially dangerous, I'd assume they'd be outright peaceful.

Beavers as a mob and a Beaver Dam as a structure would make for a great addition to the River Biome, and I would love them in a Biome Vote. I imagine their functionality would be useful for farming wood, giving these mobs real utility.

not sure about them being tamable or neutral.   But I can see them being a good addition.   Perhaps as a food source?

I agree to what SupersuMC commented, but even using beaver tails as a weapon... possibly

The stick block should be a “nest” block like the bee nest. Instead of stick block it should be the beaver lodge as the nest block.
The dam area is a structure that spawns in rivers. It is stripped logs and stick blocks with a small lake behind it. Beavers eat logs, turning them into stripped logs.

Beavers should be untamable and run away from you if you get close. They should instead be friendly if you feed them sticks. This means they will not run away from you anymore.
The dam spawns with 2 beavers and a 20% chance for a baby.

They have a random schedule that is as follows.
    12500:Forage(look for logs to eat)

Around 15000:build dam(will drag log blocks from trees to the dam, starting with the top of the trunk)

    Around 22000: go home

    Around 23000:sleep

Around 4000: wake up and wander

around 5000: go home and sleep

Around 12000: wake up and wander

Those are my ideas. Thanks for reading

maybe you can upgrade your iron armour to create beaver armour, which makes you swim faster and has less armour points

I really like this idea, but would the armour really be that powerful? Maybe it would provide defence from fall damage but give leather defence and durability

Remove armor and stick block, should drop fur/rabbits hide (fur craftable to wool), the structure should spawn in rivers being made of course dirt and stripped birch logs. I think these guys should have a roll on if they can strip logs like zombies breaking doors.

I like the idea of beavers and stick blocks, but diamond-strength pelt armour is asking too much and there's no reason for them to be tamed. Perhaps just make their pelt an alternative resource for carpet or leather. Beavers should cut down trees in their area making more easily obtainable stick blocks and be able to eventually convert their habitat to a micro-swamp, where you can then get resources such as lily pads. Thus, their main purpose would be as an agent of change for biomes ... a neutral mob but potential pest if you wanted those trees or were trying to row along a river.

I think that beaver dams could also be made up of mud as well as stick blocks.  whether this "mud"  is in a block form or a liquid form it would add more layers to the structure.  beaver dens could also be an addition since it's a common misconception that beavers live in dams.  beavers actually live exclusively in their dens and beaver dams are not hollow.  perhaps beaver dens could have some amount of loot such as rare natural food seeds and items.  this could be an exclusive way to obtain seeds for plants that wouldn't spawn naturally.

I don't think beavers should drop beaver skin or pelts, because people will farm them without actually appreciating them. They should just drop what they eat, maybe moss or something like that. Some types of beavers are endangered, and promoting to kill them in Minecraft won't be a good thing.

Armor made from a new type of leather that has the durability of iron, but the defense of diamond AND a swim speed buff, an underwater mining buff, and infinite breath, is way way overpowered.

There are already enchants that accomplish these buffs anyway. This new armor is unnecessary.

Everything else checks out, but I think that killing beavers or breaking their dam blocks should have a small chance at dropping fish.

Further, beavers ought to have AI that actively seeks water flow blocks (not source blocks) within their immediate range and attempts to replace them with dam blocks, drawing from an internal inventory of dam blocks.

The beaver should have a means of breaking down nearby trees and turning the wood into dam blocks, adding to the internal inventory.

Thus the player could use a captured beaver to build a fish generator by providing the beaver a tree generator to replenish the internal inventory of dam blocks, a water source block next to air to create a water flow block to dam up, some method of destroying the newly built dam block (adjacent fire lit Netherrack, perhaps), and some method of gathering the drops from it.

I would love to see beavers in a biome vote offering to update the river biome.

Their AI could chop down any trees within X radius of their beaver lodge (similar to how a Farmer villager works within the radius of their work block), but they would not chew trees beyond that. This would create natural clearings around their homes that result in more varied terrain, while stopping them from becoming a forest-destroying pest. Beavers could be the mob that finally enable auto wood farming, as if a sapling is planted within their work radius, they will chop it down when it grows, dropping logs and stripped logs.

They should be completely untameable and bite through leads, which would prevent it being too easy to corrall the beavers into a full auto wood farm early-game.

I like the idea of a clay ball surrounded by wood blocks being part of a dam recipe, but if beavers are breedable and their lodges are craftable it could make expanding an auto tree farm infinitely way too easy. For the sake of game balance, perhaps it would be fairer if they weren't craftable and breaking their lodge with anything other than silk touch just dropped the sticks. Salmon could display a "leaping" behaviour loop next to dam blocks.

Another balancing mechanic to auto farms could be their schedule - since real beavers are nocturnal/crepuscular, perhaps they would only chop trees at night, meaning if you constantly slept in a bed to skip the night, you wouldn't see them chop down any trees.

Great idea for a new natural mob. Here are my suggestions:

    - Beavers spawn in specific spots (beaver dams) which generate in rivers in/near birch forests

    - They are untamable and neutral, but become hostile when being attacked

    - They should have relatively high hp and damage such that they are hard to kill

    - Beavers strip logs (e.g. max 2 blocks above the ground) within a certain area around their spawning spot. This gives the possibility for stripped log farms, but as with amethyst farms they can only be built in specific spots in the world. It would also make it a little easier to find the dams, since stripped trees become a sign of their presence

Everything about this idea is great except for the OP armor. I think they should mostly spawn in and/or around rivers in taigas and swamps. And the dams should be more common. Those are my only critiques of this. Otter than that 10/10 idea.

I don't think that the beaver skin should be used as armor, I think it should just be used for turning beaver skin into leather or something. I also think that the dam shouldn't be that rare because witch huts are pretty rare, and beavers shouldn't be tamable. I like the idea of finding lost loot that the beavers built into their dams though.

I also had the idea of a Beaver and the Beaver Dam. But I think the Beaver Dams should be common as Villages. And they couldn't be tamed but can be trusted by feeding Kelp ( Because they're Herbivores ) similar to Ocelots. And the Beaver Dams shouldn't have Loot Chests. And I like the the idea of giving Haste while Chopping Wood. And the Beaver Skin should be called Beaver Hide instead and should only be used to craft Leather and Bundles similar to Rabbit Hide. And also Stick Blocks should drop 6-9 sticks if not broken with a Silk Touch Axe. And Beaver Dams should only generate in River Biomes. And the Beaver should only have 4 Hearts of health.
Apart from these this idea is perfect, you have my support

Make the stick block a new wood type, it is bum that you can't make a wood type from stick

Perhaps the stick block could reduce the flow of water through it. Rather than remove water completely, like the sponge does.

Good idea, however would probably be better if they spawned in rivers, swamps, and lakes.
Perhaps also have it where wolves will hunt beavers when they’re on land, but avoid following them into water.
Also Beavers live in a very close-knit family unit. So perhaps a dam can spawn with 2 adults and a number of babies.

Cool idea, I really like beavers. They’re cool, and with the Wild Update being announced, this feels like a great addition. Also, I think having wood-type variations for each forest biome it spawns in would be neat.
