When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

Redstone on Walls/Wall placement (was: Placement)

I think you should Be able to place redstone on walls going up because it would make it a lot easier to use. And in real life, wires dont only go on floors, they go up walls.

    You could make it where we mix Redstone with slime. Add a mortar and pestle for mixing ingredients.

    Just add redstone wires with the new RUBBER in 1.24. The recipe would be top and bottom three crafting slots would be rubber and the rest redstone. I posted about 1.24. Full version of post coming soon!

    (Java)

    Copper wire: make like a lightning rod but redstone in center. Dust doesn't go up things. But an actual wire does! 

    Sticky redstone: add a slimeball to a redstone dust. Then we can continue to violate the laws of gravity as Minecraft intended. 

     

    Perks of copper wire - cooler, one-directional therefore making smaller contraptions and easier for people to use. 

    Perks of sticky redstone - funnier, four directions like redstone dust, more complicated contraptions.

     

    I'm sold on both concepts actually.

    Saw a video on the internet that recommended adding a pen-like tool that would be used to edit the redstone wire on all surfaces.

    I think that editing the wire shouldn't cost durability or dust so it's obtaining would need to be meaningful and/or expensive.

    It would feel like a mod rather than an addition. It's just like what adding double pistons would do to the feel of the game.

    But think about it, in real life, dust can't go up walls. But it should be able to go up slime blocks, honey blocks and sticky pistons

    We really need it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Although redstone is a powder, I think we should have a way to put it on walls to fit our huge construction needs, especially for lighting in buildings. For example, we could combine redstone powder with blocks to create a new type of block that has the ability to allow redstone signals to conduct through walls. By the way, maybe Mojang could add a new item, such as redstone pipes, which would function like water pipes or electrical pipes in reality.
