NOTICE

Are you sure you want to report this?

When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

Maybe you could craft redstone dust with slime to make it go on all sides

Add cogs/gears back in, but to make them different they don’t power the block they’re on or above. But also make it placeable on the floor, without powering up/down/diagonal as well

I think redstone only goes on the ground because it's in dust form

I agree with this a lot. Perhaps it could be called "sticky redstone" and be made by crafting redstone dust and slimeballs. It is a little expensive, but in creative it could be revolutionary.

I doesn’t matter who posted what the only thing that matters is that we need a (wire type thing) that goes up and down

There could also be redstone string

This would make wiring so much easier, I hope this gets considered in the future

Not only dust should be able to put on walls, the other devices should also be able to put on walls.

    Comparator, Repeater, you name it!

For those who said: “Uhh dusts can’t stick to walls” Please explain how chalk works.

For those who said observers are already vertical redstone, well can it be vertical comparator or repeater...

Since red stone is dust and not a wire, it should probably be a separate item allowing you to do this such as an item crafted using red stone dust and slime ball and/or putting red stone dust on slime blocks

Made with slimeball and red stone, called "sticky redstone"

Blocks can float, therefore we should be able to put redstone on walls

I think stick redstone should be added. The crafting recipe will be redstone and a slimeball.and it will be very easy to make redstone contraptions.

How about sticky redstone? One slime ball surrounded by redstone is 8 sticker redstone. It can go on walls and ceilings.

Please mojang this should have been in the game long ago. Gears were even intended to be in the game but never made it. Point is we need this.

Perhaps if you we made it so we could craft red stone dust and string(wire). Making something like a power line. ( and where string kinda floats in the air when attached to something it feels like it would work.) I did a youtube video on this idea. Im not sure if it helps but at lest its a shot. Maybe even having it where it also has to crafted with vines to go up walls. ( there are different types of rails in game why not power lines?)Its a long shot depending on how it affects the game as a whole and weather or not it causes bugs in game or not. But we can leave that up to the developers.

Perhaps it could be implemented with Colbalt/Bluestone to make it easier for devs and allows perhaps allow new items or possibilities.

I posted an idea for this, but it got deleted, so I'll put it here:
Currently, redstone dust and other components are stuck on the honey block and move along it when pushed/pulled by a piston. If honey is so sticky that redstone dust sticks on it, you should also let it stick on it's sides or even on the bottom of it. This is not overpowered like the RedstonePaste mod, but it will still increase even more the number of redstone possibilities and we won't need to buold those weird redstone torch pillars anymore.
