Redstone on Walls/Wall placement (was: Placement)

I think you should Be able to place redstone on walls going up because it would make it a lot easier to use. And in real life, wires dont only go on floors, they go up walls.

    How about we just bring back the idea of cogs and have that be the wall climbing contrast to redstone wiring?

    Maybe we if you craft redstone with a slimeball you get sticky redstone. You could also do the same with repeaters and comparators.

    Since Redstone is a powder, it would be nice if in the Crafting Table we could join a Redstone with a String and make a Redstone String to put on the wall.

    I think turning Redstone dust into pipe/wire that can run all directions is a super idea!!!!! Or the red stone dust block as suggested in a linked post bySpecialisToL.

    I like the idea, but I feel like it needs its restrictions. Perhaps small current size, and it must be a special redstone crafted with slimeballs (redstone and slime often go together anyway).

    I dont understand why everyone has this notion that you need slime to 'stick" redstone to things, ever try to smear dust on a wall irl? It works just fine, no slime needed. and considering this is the #1 voted redstone idea and it wouldnt break any existing contraptions maybe they should just implement it.

    I can see what your thinking here. but its simple to fix with a bunch of observers on top of each other. of course that would be expensive. so i do kinda hope this is implemented. but here's a thought, is redstone sticky? i mean, dust doesn't stick to walls right? (I mean it does sometimes irl but still)

    You should also be able to place carpets and other blocks on redstone without breaking it.

    Ce serait bien que la Redstone puisse aller sur les murs pour faire des systèmes assez pratique ou autre, comme si on veut faire un système pour alumer des ampoules comme chez nous par exemple.
    Donc j'aimerais que l'on puisse placer de la Redstone sur les murs.

    I believe it should be in moderation. Given how redstone and slime seem to go together, crafting "sticky redstone dust" with 4 slime surroind 1 dust doesn't seem like a bad deal to me. It would also have half the possible signal length, but like c`mon what else do you want, wall repeaters?

    I think It's a bad idea. Firstly, it is not logical, it is Red Dust, and dust crumbles at 90 degrees of inclination. Secondly, it will break absolutely all a old mechanisms. This will completely break the mechanics of the red torch. Difficulties will arise with the growing up of redstone dust, because the vertical dust can activate extra blocks in front of itself. It is not clear how the semi-blocks will work in this case. Do you think modifications to redstone paste and / or wires add their own unit just like that? No, they understand that this can break the mechanics of Redstone, and therefore do not change it... Translate by online translater...

    I 100% agree. Red stone is already complicated enough to me
