Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Concrete and Terracotta having Slabs, Stairs, and Walls

I really don’t like how you can’t craft concrete slabs and stairs. That basically means that we don’t have ANY colorful slabs and stairs. I really wish Mojang will add this because that would allow people to be more creative with what they build.

Edit: As you guys have mentioned in the comments, terracotta could use it as well.

Edit 2: They could also use walls, that could expand build options even more, and when it comes to build options, the more the merrier.

    I believe that we should have slabs, walls and stairs because there would be a larger variety of things to create

    FR : C'est aberrant de voir qu'en 2023 il n'y a toujours aucune déclinaisons en escalier, dalle ou muret pour certains blocs comme le béton, mais aussi la terre cuite, le grès lisse, etc. De nouveaux blocs cools sont ajoutés, mais il manque toujours ce genre de détail qui sont vraiment importants pour nos maisons et ça serait mieux de ne pas devoir passer par x datapack ou x mod.

    EN : It is absurd to see that in 2023 there are still no variations in stairs, slabs or low walls for certain blocks such as concrete, but also terracotta, smooth sandstone, etc. New cool blocks are added, but still missing those kind of details that are really important for our homes and it would be better not to have to go through x datapack or x mod.

    Along with this (like on the same general topic) , could you add Swaggiest Stairs Ever into the main game? It'd be a HUGE 1-up for the building community. For now, we have to play in older versions to access the stairs, but it'd be really nice if you could add them to 1.20, or some future update. You'd craft them using a stone cutter only, not a crafting table, plus a netherite block. Or, if you wanted to, make them outright unobtainable in survival since it'd be SO expensive to get them in survival.

    the idea of ​​adding different colored blocks is very good, great for me, I am a builder and I want to use these blocks to do different things than what is already available in Minecraft, it would be cool to reproduce something from real life with these blocks.

    Seems nothing has come of this, which is a real shame but even to this day I'd love concrete slabs and stairs, they're definitely very needed.

    There are no similar-colour alternatives for some colours, orange for starters, so please give us concrete stairs and slabs.

    I mean you gave us those varieties of deepslate stairs so why not some nice simple concrete stairs? 

    Just think of all the Mediterranean build possibilities that would open up

    the fact that its been 5 Years since this post was made is mindblowing. please mojang, all i want are plain white concrete or terracotta stairs for my modern builds :( marble just doesnt cut it

    this is such a great idea! and it feels like it wouldn't be that hard to add, there doesn't have to be a dedicated 'build update' or anything, it could just be rolled out as a side feature.

    I absolutely love Minecraft, and for the most part, I’m now just a creative player. My ONLY dislike is that there is no colorful slabs and stairs! If they were to add colored concrete and colored terracotta slabs, stairs, and walls. It would open up doors for even more creativity and striking builds!

    I feel like we would have so much more creative freedom with concrete and terracotta stairs and slabs. Honestly it feels like these blocks are kind of held back and forgotten about because of their limited use. But given the use of the half block variations of them in vanilla Minecraft, we could do so much more with these amazing and colorful blocks. So many more possibilities would be opened to us with such a simple implementation to the game. I truly hope this gets added. Microsoft has been doing wonderful things by adding new content while also going back and improving the old and this would be a great opportunity to jump on.

    We need concrete slabs, stairs and walls in Minecraft. There are different ones for woods and stones, but when i build a colourful build with concrete, wool, or teracotta, there is not a block that looks good AND texture matches when building a roof. You can argue that quartz works, but quartz is one of the most time consuming ways to get blocks, and with a yield of so few once collected, it makes it really difficult to effectively and efficiently build these houses, especially so early on into the game.

     

    The builds are barely colour co-ordinated, and when the whole slogan of the game is "the only limit is your imagination," this really holds the community back from having clean basic blocks. With the implementation of all the new copper variants, surely focusing on concrete like the community have been asking for would be a much better turn out, since everyone uses concrete at one point, and more would be inclined to use it if they did not before.

    Even doing something in a "builders update" would be positively received in the game, where carpets may not count as a block and just a texture for example, so you can put things on them without it being overlapping and can see the colour underneath, or as suggested heavily; CONCRETE/TERRACOTTA 

    half and quarter blocks!!!!! It could be implemented easily, and again, would go down well with the community, potentially getting older players to join t test the new limits after expanding resources by a tenfold.

    How is this still not a thing?
    I'd use Concrete and Terracotta more in my builds if there were more variants of their blocks.
    While I'd love Brick, Cracked & Mossy variants I'd happily settle for at least stairs and slabs for now and review other variants later.

    Shocking to see how old this suggestion is and still not have those things in the game. Started playing again recently and I appreciate what’s been added since i last played, but no concrete slabs/stairs is a huge oversight. Let’s get them added please.

    Good Idea, though if they do this, they HAVE to do wool versions of slabs and stairs because they could decline it for the same reasons, that reason isn't a good one (something to do with creativity??) I don't understand
