Mouse controls like PC for Pocket edition

I think you should access androids new 8.0 oreo Pointer capture feature, to make mouse and keyboard controls, on Minecraft pe, the same as PC. Where you don't have to click and drag to look around. Just move your mouse.

    I totally agree, also, they should fix the keyboard binding issue. 

    I use a Samsung Dex Station and it would be awesome to play Minecraft just like in PC!

    I am dieing for this!
    The mouse controls are difficult to work with, Im always breaking my builds when I want to look somewhere.
    Better Keyboard and Mouse support would be Amazing Mojang!

    Yes This would be Such a wonderful thing to have I wouldn't have a disadvantage to pc players then (I don't own a pc so I can't use the windows 10 edition on one) I don't see why there's support for keyboard and mouse controllers and touch on pc but on phone there is only controlled and touch support

    I dont understand, why the controlls are that kind of different on MC PE. My Son got a new tablet with bluetooth mouse and keyboard and is so sad, that the controlls are hardly to use. He doesnt even play MC on tablet anymore, because of that. 

     

    So many "Gamepads" are big crap, but the steering in MC PE with it is ok. But if you have good bluetooth keyboard and mouse, the game just hates you. I cant understand that. Please fix that.

    As someone who wants to start making maps for the bedrock edition of Minecraft and has a Windows 7 pc, this would be incredibly useful. Yes, you can move around with wasd and you can use hotkeys, but that's about it. The crosshair isn't locked to the mouse, and despite what the controls menu says, mouse button 2 doesn't place blocks/use items and mouse button 3 doesn't pick block. In fact, it's as if there wasn't even a mouse plugged in. I have a fairly good tablet and it would nice if an app would actually support keyboards and mice correctly every once in a while.

    I just tested it and still no proper mouse look controls for the Bedrock edition on Android, only keyboard works fine.

    I'd love to be able to use a mouse, but it does not work properly. The best alternative is a controller, but even that has its drawbacks and jankyness with setup. Being able to play Minecraft on a plane or continue a world comfortably at home would be a dream. It doesn't seem to hard to implement.

    Please for the love of god do this already! I'm losing my mind trying to play pocket edition. You hit so many things on accident it's not even funny. You ever have to murder a wolf pack because your game makes you accidentally hit one of them? For real, please make actual mouse and keyboard support.

    I am very disappointed. Very. It's stunning to me that they could encounter such a basic and insignificant speed bump and still succumb to failure. How shameful.

    I love playing it with a USB controller - but when plugging in a keyboard and mouse - it half works... the settings have keyboard and mouse settings, move works, jump works, but the mouse doesn't move the screen and remapping keys doesn't work........ please add keyboard and mouse suppord to android, that would be amazing

    Please update this and add real support

    Just tried bluetooth mouse and keyboard in my tablet after years playing java without even noticing that was a possibility and got instantly turned off by this issue with the lack of pointer tracking. Having the option to configure mouse and keyboard to play just like in PC would be awesome. Really hoping to see that feature soon.

    Quite disappointed that this has been an issue for years and Mojang hasn't done anything to attempt implementing full keyboard and mouse control or, if it's not possible, give us the reason why. Why give us control if it isn't complete?

    Yes please change the keyboard and mouse settings to work more properly its just useless when your goimg to turn in minecraft but u instead break everything. Please change mouse to be more like pc

    If this was added, we could compete with Windows 10. I think there is an API that supports this feature. With DeX on Samsung, we would be set.

    I own bedrock and java on pc, but i can't access the internet through my pc. I own a realm that I play on with my friends and my phone is the only way I can play with them. Having played java for many years, the mouse support on mobile is very jarring. I would love more than anything to at least be able to play the way I want to on the platform I want to.

    I think it is not only the game. But android. Android seems to still refuse to implement decent mouse support. The only setting i can adjust is the mouse speed. Nothing else. And this in 2019. Laughable.

    Yea yea yea we all need this feature mcpe will be easier and much better than now so please Mojang do it i have to beat some Windows 10 players to get my revenge because they are targetting us for this reason because we are ez (easy) we cannot use mouse and keyboard like PC they have an advantage please enable this feature or We will quit minecraft

    My suggestion to add to the other comments in this thread are to add a toggle switch to specify the control type to use when multiple options are available. It is probable that touch and keyboard options are available on any system where minecraft is played. In my case (Note 8 using Dex) I have all three options available and I find that touch is prioritized above all else.

    Yes we Need mouse lock i use a chromebook and i play on the latest version of minecraft and all i see is how to change your controls but when i change them there's no difference except for using the arrow keys to look around that is not enough we need MOUSE LOCK TODAY FOR THE NEXT UPDATE ON MINECRAFT POCKET EDITION

    Please do make this happen cause I just bought a keyboard and mouse cause I want to play Minecraft like W10 but when I plugged it in and played, I didn't expect that the mouse is hard to control. I thought it would be good for PVP but yeah didn't did well. Please Mojang do make this happen it will be awesome. We are just completely destroyed by W10 players cause they can play properly, please do make this happen it's already Christmas.

    This issue has been around for years. This is an issue that should be able to be fixed in the codebase. I understand that doing this will exclude a small number of players with very, very old devices, but it needs to be done. 

    The major issue with this is the exclusion of anyone playing on a Chromebook. I have a Pixel Slate that I am turning into a gaming rig thanks to Stadia. But I can't play Minecraft the way I like, with a keyboard and mouse, because 1: Minecraft PE (Android) doesn't support full keyboard and mouse control. And 2: There is no other way to install Bedrock on a Chromebook. 

    Fixing this issue actually fixes both. If the ability to use a full keyboard and mouse controls are put into PE, then it covers all Chromebooks that run Android apps. There is no reason not to....

    It is SO frustrating to hit things and break blocks when I'm just trying to look around. Why is looking around and using/interacting tied to the same control?
