Pet Dragons?

How about having a dragon of your own? in any sizes (dog size dragon or Ender dragon size) watching them grow from a baby hatchling to an adult, including with its own elemental powers, and where you have to find it specifically like; water dragons will be in the sea in temples, fire dragons at the volcanos or dungeons, earth dragons at the forests/jungle temples, nether dragons at the netherworld, cave dragons at the caves or abandoned mines, etc. they should also have the distinct color and design of their elemental powers.

    I remember Notch saying he wanted to add a red dragon in the game that you could ride, maybe his egg could be the prize in an underground dungeon? another unique treasure structure you could follow with a map like the mansion or sea temple would be neat

    my brother had this idea: dragons (apart from the ender dragon) would spawn in a dragon realm as bosses this would explain where the ender dragon came from. (and also the dragon realm would appear the the end city would but the gateway would be made out of a new block called dragonstone)

    You can maybe find then steal the egg in a dragon's nesting place from where they originate from (example an ice dragon's nest would be somewhere like the ice spikes biome). They will be guarded by the adult dragons, which will make it harder to steal the egg.

     

    Once you have obtained the egg, you can warm the egg up at a campfire (maybe multiple campfires) and it'll incubate and hatch.

     Ways you could balance the dragons:

    • Once tamed, they're debuffed (meaning they'll do less damage).
    • You need to walk them actively throughout the day (probably wont work out well).
    • You need to feed them, depending on what dragon they are, they'll have a specific type of food they want (example ice dragons can eat raw salmon or cod). If not fed they'll die
    • They are not the most active creatures and they're lazy.
    • Depending the type of dragon, they might not want to go to a certain place (fire dragons will refuse to go to cold places).

    I think this should only be for ender dragon. Other elemental dragons might be going too far

    Sorry but these don't sound like minecraft dragons with there elemental powers. Otherwise , this is quite a cool idea 😀😀😀

    I feel like this is definitely something that should stay as a mod. Not only does it really stray from the feel of minecraft, but it would also be incredibly overpowered

    But on the other hand the dragons could be a serious problem to the villages nearby

    I love this concept, you could use the dragons to fly around the map, it would make getting around faster. It be like after so I far of flying around, the dragon lands and then you need to give it food or water.

    I would like this. I have always wanted dragons in minecraft. Though i would want a model that looks a little like the ice and fire dragon mod rather than dragon mounts mod.

    I believe that the powers would cause many problems, but I believe they would be awesome if they were maybe a little bigger than horses and they could fly, but I also believe that they should be much slower on land as to not replace horses. Even at that though, they would be replacing horses in a way so they would have to be very timid and not all-powerful, and rarer to find than horses. It kind of reminds me of the fairy horse mods.

    They should probably be wingless so that you can't just fly around your world, as that would leave the elytra pointless. Also their elemental powers shouldn't be that strong as you could just obliterate anything with no consequences.

    Maybe when you get a Dragon egg, place it on an obsidian block and put end crystals around it to hatch the egg. A baby ender dragon will pop out and you need to feed it chorus fruit to tame it. It'll protect you and attack hostiles, even creepers. You can't leash it, but it'll always follow you. When it is big enough, you can put a saddle on it and ride it. But your idea seems cool as well. I like it.

    I think pet dragons would feel weird, seeing that the final boss of this game is a dragon. 

    I would love to see reptile mobs tho.

    I like the idea of a new pet, but having dragons with the strength of the ender dragon would be too overpowered. I would rather want it as a mix of a wolf and a bee, meaning it'll be able to attack mobs and be used as a mount. Since it should be difficult to get, it should also damage more than the wolf, and fly way better than the bee, it should just in general be more useful. Also, I don't think they should be as big as the ender dragon. That would probably be annoying as it flies in front of you and attacks enemies, while you're trying to do the same. Also, maybe a dragon pet feature could be a way of giving the dragon egg a feature. That could be pretty damn interesting.

    What about you hatching it from the dragon egg but to do so you need to do a summoning something like creating dragon breath in a bottle and having to strike it with lighting. Also depending on what biome it is in is what element/type it is. The only thing I think it should have is a way to put a dragon Sattle on it something like one that can only be found in end city’s making elitras still useful and also they would need food and would not be able to fit in small spaces but could fly.

    I'd prefer wyverns, wyverns don't really breathe fire (according to some folktales) and only have poisonous talons. If those were to be added into the game as a late game flying mount, it'd be less overpowered because they don't spit fire or any element whatsoever and wouldn't be too big to fit inside of a stable.

    please please please add pet dragons to bedrock addition I LOVE DRAGONS! i have been playing minecraft ever since it first came out and i have seen so many dragon mods and videos with tamable dragons and Ive hoped to see tamable dragons for a really long time, along with maybe sky islands or sky dungeons only accessible by dragons

    I love this idea I mostly want this cause I can't download rlcraft mos on my Minecraft soooo I would love if they actually put more tameable dragons and like you find random dragon caves around your world and there are sometimes eggs in the cave's but there is also a mother dragon who you have to kill and in the cave there's loot..
    That woulddd bee the bestt
