Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Emerald armor & weapons (was: Emerald Weapons)

I think it would be cool if there was emerald weapons and armor. Its weapon strength should be in the middle of wood and gold. Its armor protection should be in the middle of leather and gold.

    worth adding.

    BUT do not put the "Armor Fortress" on the armor
    and so that it is a couple of points less than the diamond one.
    BUT you can add the effect of "luck" or "good deal" with the residents, thus increasing their level of trade faster.
    Something akin to + eloquence in rpg games

    Maybe since emeralds are the rarest
    ore, but you can trade for them,
    the tool’s and armor’s strength could be in between iron and diamond.

    I think that they should be stronger, like between iron and diamonds. And maybe no armor for emeralds, just tools. Some bonus with villagers would be cool, too. Sorry if you posted something before like this, I haven't read other comments yet.

    What if emerald armor had the protection of netherite but gave you slowness due to it being heavier and restrict your jump height so you'll want to upgrade to get mobility and protection

    Wait what if you needed to smelt emerald ore to make like a "emerald mold" (feel free to change name) that can only be made form ore mined with silk touch to make the gear so it has more value 

    Edit : the reason could be that the emeralds the villagers use could be "impure" and you would to purify them by maybe...

    1 mine with silk touch the keep them preserved 

    2 if deepslate emerald use on a grindstone to carefully remove deepslate and turn it into normal emerald ore, if not deepslate skip to 3

    3 smelt in blast furnace (which should take a while as we are melting a gem here)

    4 quickly take now molten emerald and place in cauldron filled with water (or snow if you want Mojang) which will cause the water to evaporate and leave a "pristine emerald" which can be used in recipes or insta buy a item from a villager

    I think this may be better to have as an embellishment on top of other armors (kind of like dye on leather armor). It could add something to it (maybe allowing one to add certain enchantments) that is useful but also visible.

    Same mining level as iron. 500 durability (twice of iron tools. Gets 15% extra xp from mining ores.

    Definitely think there should be emerald armor and weapons, shield, etc. But I think they should be just as, if not more, durable as diamonds but not protect you/mine/farm as much as diamond tools and weapons.

    I actually think this is a great idea, because you know how diamonds are rare and they get crafted into tools and armor? Well, (like iron, gold, and more,) adding a new armor set like the studded armor in an older version (or later), adding tools/armor that is rare like diamond to the game does seem reasonable. It's like Netherite Armor, adding in 1.16!! Just make it a bit harder than Netherite and make it more durable; and make it easier to enchant, giving it a unique use!!

    I think with the durability of in between iron and diamond with the speed of gold would be really cool being a more rare resource

    This is a very old debate however gold recently became more valuable due to its uses in Netherite I wonder if the same could be done with emerald. So perhaps Emerald paired with another rare item to make some sort of overworld equipment? I think this needs a little more.

    Maybe you could think of it as a branch of armors/tools that specializes in a specific way. Like enhanced durability / protection for a specific scenario.
