I think the problem with custom skins on console is that custom content is practically impossible for any console, by design.

This is a long waited feature for players on XBOX ONE and Nintendo Switch, but its actually obvious that Microsoft are to lazy to come up with something to allow custom skins to happen on Consoles.

Please PLEASE make this happen. There is no excuse why this can’t be possible. The java version of Minecraft operates this way.

There's a way of adding custom skin packs on xbox one, but it's inconvenient to use.  Even when everything's loaded, you need to sign out and back in to get the custom packs to load. It'd be nice if some easier method existed. This feature doesn't seem as as far off as people are saying.

I understand not being able to create and implement your own custom skills on console, but I think you should be able to transfer the skins over through your account, from a phone or PC

This should definitely be done, whether it’s downloading a custom skin to making the skin in game, it could be as simple as building the skin.  After all, what happened to having the ability of being a unique player?

I think that if they did it like on Java where you upload it and it is tied to your MS account it could work. Maybe you could upload it in mobile or Win10 and it would sync between platforms. This could also open up Java parity features like custom player heads. All of the other skins sync to your account between platforms so why can’t a tiny PNG file do so? There is a potential issue with copyright infringement, but have they even seen the marketplace skin packs?

It's quite ironic that Java has the superior system for skin linking on multiple devices as the account itself loads the skin. On Bedrock, you are basically punished for using your own skin file having to load it every single time you log on with another device.

It’s all on the same Microsoft account, I’ve always wondered why that feature only works on one platform and not the other.
